So the Whitesox are saying f this window and continue to kick the can down the road, such a Whitesox move to make here. Continue to do what hasn’t worked.....insanity
You saw the decline in EE the year prior, not saying that it’s impossible for that to happen to Cruz but he does not look like he’s at the point of slowing down yet
I think you have to add at least one more starter with the shortened season last year then you have Kopech who hasn’t pitched in 2 years, you need someone else to help eat some of these innings
Robert....Eloy....Crochet....Kopech....Moncada
was gonna go with:
Bauer....Machado.....Tatis Jr.....but then I realized none of them were actually on the team ?
Meaning that an overpay for JR is different than an overpay for a team like the Yankees who can print money if they’d like. If we overpay and it turns out to be bad JR is gonna try and find a way to pinch pennies on another contract and less likely to commit funds when needed to somewhere else that’s all.
Just worried about the flame out that’s likely to come, seems like relievers are so hit or miss and it just makes me nervous on the overpay that’s all especially with how cheap JR is.
Not a huge fan of overpaying for a closer, I would prefer we overpay for a game changing starting pitcher. Not hating on the guy just don’t have a warm and fuzzy and could see the money being used elsewhere more productively
Doubt they are worried about us right now, we have a chance to put a strangle hold on the division for the next 5 years and we are letting the opportunity pass us by.
