  1. I'll join the next league...I need to take down Chimpy in the championship...
  2. Broadway just keeps on rolling
  3. IP ER Hits BB WHIP ERA Jenks 49.66 22 45 15 1.21 3.99 Riske 18 7 23 7 1.67 3.50 McCar 55.33 23 48 20 1.23 3.74 MacDoug 4 1 3 1 1.00 2.25 Cotts 44 16 44 14 1.32 3.27 Thornt 37.33 15 29 17 1.23 3.62 Total: 208.33 84 192 74 1.28 3.63 Will be continually updated to give a better idea of how good our current pen is, since our total pen ERA includes garbage by Montero and Politte.
  4. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) the know it alls are wrong once again... what a great pen. Did you say something Willie? Talk about reactionary whiners. It's one damn game. Get a grip. Riske now has an ERA of 3.5 since coming over. WHAT AN UNRELIABLE beach
  5. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) mcdougal has been on the DL for most part of the year ... Yogi! He's been great rehabbing? Yup, and now MacDougal is healthy and has given up 1 run in 8 innings. From opening day to July 31st Cotts had an ERA of 3.14. From opening day last year to 7/31/06 he had an ERA of 2.44. I, for one, won't give up on Neal for a bad stretch of games. Since being acquired by the Sox Riske has an ERA of 3.18. He hasn't been incredible, but solid and reliable. The only guy I consider shaky is BMac, and he isn't all the bad. How does our bullpen suck again?
  6. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) WTF have you been watching all year, Cotts has given up so many go ahead runs when he was in, so has McCarthy over the course. Thorton and Jenks have been are most consistent guys... you need all the arms to win not just 2-3 from the pen. Riske? MacDougal has been great all year. The first 3 months of the year Cotts was good, just like last year, now he has had a rough stretch of games. And no I haven't watched any games this year, this is my first. Haven't been to any either.
  7. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) If you think ur Pen is good, I have a lakefront property to sale you in Arizona. Who in our bullpen isn't reliable?
  8. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Am I seeing this right? Cleveland has left 18 (!!!) on base today? 18?!?!!?! That horseshoe is firmly planted up the collective ass of the Detroit Tigers. I guess I now know how other teams' fans felt about us last season. They've left 10, 18 is the combined total for every player.
  9. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) The bullpen is not good Um? 6 relievers with ERA's under 4.
  10. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) Your more than welcomed to go and ask for the job, since you know to think what move to make on every situation that the Sox are in. What would be the point of the game thread if we just sat here and acted like cheerleaders...Everyone questions managers, get over it.
  11. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) Cry some more fellas, theres your bullpen guy you wanted. Yes bring him in with a runner in scoring position against one of the best hitters in the league...or let him start the inning against the spiff of the order...HMM
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) One of my biggest complaints about Ozzie is he shows no urgency in the 7th or 8th inning of games when this team is losing. There have been so many times this year where we allow an insurance run in the 7th inning. Exactly, the difference between being down 1 and 2 is absolutely huge, but when we are losing Ozzie just let's the game ride...when we are winning he micromanages like a mofo.
  13. Yay, bring in MacD with 2 outs and after a run already scored. BRILLIANT
  14. OH MY fishing GOD You fishing morons, god fishing damnit gosh darn
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) We have Mac and Cotts warming. Which one should we bring in. Anything that starts with a C no matter how the hitter is blessed hand wise is dumb. Bring in Mac, he hasn't even pitched since the 1st, he is perfectly ready to go.
  16. Why is Jose still in? Trust your bullpen filled with 6 mostly reliable relievers...
  17. Blah, I would bring in MacD here. Prove me wrong Count.
  18. Great inning offense, way to work him
  19. Nice play by Wells, guy's a total stud
  20. Started promising, ended like a piece of spiff. Gotta hold em again Jose
