No Lockout for NBA
QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) i think thats cool cause if we had this before we would see what college teams kobe, garnett or lebron would have gone to. For one year... Also some HS kids will still be able to jump under a 19 limit I think

Moronotti flip-flops stance on Sox as expected...
Why can't anyone interpret Buehrle's quote? Is it really that hard? He didn't say the spitballer had experience he said HE had experience.

Around The Majors
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) Talent for talent, that trade looks extremely bad. Lee for Podsednik + Vizcaino... yuck. I realize we did other things with the money, but -- eh, I'll digress. We're winning, I shouldn't b****. I just hope that Podsednik keeps that OBP high -- it's falling a little bit, down from .380 (approx.) to .359 -- or else our offense is going to be in a whole lot of trouble. DING DING If we took on a contract you could say buh bye to Duques 7 wins, or AJ's work behind the plate. Yes we got raped talent wise, everyone knows this but we saved money that let us do big things.

McCarthy
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) From this point on, I hope no one attaches "phenom" infront of his name, or any other future prospect, until he atleast wins 1 game in the majors. Why is that? Is the difference between being a phenom and not being one really a gopher ball thrown by Luis Vizcaino?

When you strike out 81 and walk 18 at AAA you obviously have stuff. 11.39 K's/9 ain't to bad either. The kids what 21/22? He could use the rest of this year in the minors to get some seasoning. He's not ready and it's not his fault he was put into a situation he wasn't ready for.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) 4 ER in 5 IP would have still been bad against the Sweeney-less Royals. Thatd be correct but it's a lot better than 6 ER. My point wasn't to say the BMac pithced good, it was to say that Dye cost him 2.

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) Dye did an amazing job to make that play even look close. I am not sure how the play looked on TV, but I was at the game... and it was just a lucky hit. LMAO I was at the game Dye and that was a HORRIFIC jump on the ball. He stood there for a good amount of time trying to track the ball. It looks all nice and cut when he dies but that was a horses*** jump and if you deny that you weren't watching.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) He is one of those that loves to come on here, talk s***, give his two cents, yet never goes to a game. Seems like there are a lot of those around here. That appears to be the case. He hasn't popped back in to tell us how he has been to less games than you, an out-of-towner.
