Josh Fields wants a trade
I'm reading on another forum that a Fields for Pie trade is almost done. Not sure how true that is though.

Randy Williams up with the Big League Team
Getting Haren would take 2x what it would take to get Halladay. We have no chance of getting him unless we drain our farm system in the trade.

Even though I know little to nothing about this guy, I can see ozzie having a dewayne wise-esque man crush on him.

Solution the Kyle Mcculloch
As a solution (and punishment) to the nightmare of a first round pick that is Kyle Mcchulloch, I say we chop off two of his fingers and make him into a modern day Mordecai Brown. This could add unusual amounts of spin and movement to his pitches. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mordecai_Brown Mr. Burns: I've decided to bring in a few ringers, professional baseballers. We'll give them token jobs at the plant and have them play on our softball team. Honus Wagner, Cap Anson, Mordecai "Three-Finger" Brown... Smithers: Uh, sir? Mr. Burns: What is it, Smithers? Smithers: I'm afraid all of those players have retired and, uh... passed on. In fact, your right-fielder has been dead for a hundred and thirty years.

Latest Roster Moves. . .
Normally I would be totally against this move, but we desperately need a lefty in the pen. Thornton will probably be missing for a couple games pretty soon. The problem is, I am sure they will keep Clayton "The Mask" Richard in the pen even after Thornton's wife has his kid.

Latest Roster Moves. . .
I'm sure he is smart enough to see that the pen is desperate for lefties, especially with Thornton expecting his kid.

beckham in the 2-hole?
Come on, "rush a raw rookie into the top of the lineup." He has proven his "raw" skills can get it done in the major leagues. It's not like they are freaking promoting him to a new level. He has already handled the transition from AA to the majors well. How will changing his spot in the line up affect him that much? It would make the team better. He has a better average, OBP, and slugging percentage... With the rate that Pods gets on base, that would be huge to have beckham batting second. more walks and more doubles. It would benefit the team.

beckham in the 2-hole?
I hate the "added pressure" argument. Every player is expected to produce, no matter what spot in the lineup they are. I don't see how moving him up to the 2 spot will add much pressure... Worst case scenario he would be moved back down in the lineup. His job isn't on the line or anything.

Brian Anderson traded to Red Sox for Mark Kotsay
hopefully we can get rid of wise finally.

Brian Anderson traded to Red Sox for Mark Kotsay
maybe even carl yastrzemski, but that would put hawk into a coma.

MARK BUEHRLE PITCHES THE 18TH PERFECT GAME IN HISTORY
That happens on all the sports/white sox forums i go to. The other fans always say something like "congrats to mark buehrle on the perfect game. he is a great guy, he deserves it. too bad that senile moron announcer had to ruin it." although i am not the biggest hawk fan, i thought his call of the perfect game was pretty good.

Any idea why Flowers hasn't been playing?
It seems like they are playing Flowers in half of the games or less... Is there some nagging injury he has that we don't know about? It would be nice to get him as many at bats as possible so he can further his progress.
