  1. You are really one of the most astute posters here. Really enjoy your observations
  2. Great points. For me, on a healthy team, Leury is an ideal super sub. With all of the injuries, of course, he’s been exposed more than you’d like. For the remainder of this year, he won’t kill us as part of a platoon in RF batting 8th or 9th. Not with the return of our injured players
  3. Get a clue on what a super sub means, and maybe, just maybe, you might understand how valuable he is to our team.
  4. What an outing by ReyLo, and what an unexpected asset we may have and need in October.
  5. He’s laid off several pitches tonight he would have swung at as a rookie. Very encouraging
  6. America this month has seen quite a show by Tim Anderson with everything he’s done on all of these national telecasts we’ve been on.
  7. So good to hear “Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!” at our completely filled ballpark!
  8. Not to mention, but just having similar stats doesn’t mean you profile as the same player. I liked Quentin for the hot minute he was here, but I don’t think of or see him when watching Vaughn.
  9. He mentioned it in the first sentence out of his mouth during his Score interview a few minutes ago.
  10. But we can count on you being annoyingly negative every step of the way, so we have that going for us.
  11. Do the Yankees and Red Sox rest their players all the time given they play in Tampa and Toronto three times as much as us every year?
  12. The only pennant race left for us is the fight for home field advantage in the playoffs. We need to catch Tampa Bay in order to get that advantage. We should have our A lineup going all three games this weekend, no excuses. Give whomever rest days when the team is in Toronto.
  13. Between the game being broadcast on every ABC-TV station across the country tonight, and the Field of Dreams game getting shown on FOX on Thursday, the Sox are going to get a tremendous amount of national exposure this week. Hopefully it’s the beginning of a lot of time spent on the national stage as we journey through this competitive window.
  14. The Omar Vizquel/Roberto Alomar double play combination did not age well - literally
  15. He and Stone are in the booth at Wrigley
  16. That’s a great way to put it. He goes nice and easy, engages Stone appropriately, and most importantly, doesn’t try and jam so much of the cornball routine into every available second during the telecast. Don’t get me wrong, I think Benetti is a good announcer. I just think he could be far better if he took a page out of Kasper’s book. Maybe in time.
