QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) We havent had a chance to see him much in CF in spring which sucks. And to me, this looks like upping his value for a trade to be honest. He would be included in any major transaction most likely. I dunno. With Mitchell going down, I think they are planning on using Danks next season in CF.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) Meh, it's a player of his, I wouldn't expect him to say anything bad. Yeah, but take into account how many times we've heard this now. His defense must really be something for him to receive so much praise.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 16, 2010 -> 06:29 AM) I'm trying to figure that one out. Winston Salem Barons? Lol.

QUOTE (sircaffey @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) Texas has 2 solid young catchers in Teagarden and Salty. Don't think they'd be looking to trade for another young catcher. In fact, I think they traded away another one of their young catchers, Max Ramirez, this offseason, right? Salty is already 25 and hasn't done much at all yet, not to mention that he is injured, and Teagarden has still got a year or two before he is ML ready.

QUOTE (C_LEE45 @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 03:58 PM) why would texas want A.J.? Nothing really at the position. Toby Hall and Salty are both injured, they could extend him for a couple years and hope to pick up something that works out later. I'd, personally, do Flowers for Smoak or for Davis + some gladly.
-
Maybe we should look into sending either A.J. or T-Flow to the Rangers for Smoak or Davis? The Rangers need a catcher and we need a 1st baseman, we both have extra players at the position and match up well.

The Mariners are gonna try the whole rotating DH idea too, but they are stocking their team with players who actually compliment each other and can hit.

FWIW, Merkin says the Sox have about 4M to throw at him.

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 06:36 PM) gotta wonder if he was one of the guys who hung out with cabrera on the last weekend in detroit. I'm fairly certain that he was stated as one of them.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) It makes sense with how quickly his career fell apart. Guys who don't take care of themselves don't usually make it as long. Eh? He had a huge shoulder problem, it's not like he got overweight and his numbers suffered immensely. Until his year in Philly, he was a decent pitcher.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 10:28 AM) Our #2 hitter to start the season is probably going to be Beckham, IMO. I have read a couple times that Rios is gonna start up there.
