Sam Fuld
I hope the World Series ends quickly. The names that have been thrown around lately have been nothing but confusing and kind of ridiculous to say the least.
-
Sam Fuld
Ok now I can see that happening and would like that a lot but Fuld as a manager to start out. Ehhh I don’t know about that especially with having no experience. It’s like with AJP, he would be better starting off as a bench coach before manager.

Oh can I guess, Bob Nightengale is going to pick up on the story and run with it for a couple days but than we will not hear anything about it anymore. ?

I think this is one of those options that Hahn was talking about that they will keep an open mind about. The Sox are just exploring the market until they can interview the candidates they are really serious about.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
I gotcha now! So your just not in favor of hiring Hinch because of the whole scandal? How about if they hire Hinch and they win multiple World Series championships without any cheating, would you feel the same way about him? Bochy is actually a good choice, eventhough his age is up there as well. If it were between Francona or Bochy, would you still pick Bochy?

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
See post below from the Tony or Ricky thread. Maybe I misunderstood and if so who do you want for manager? Your comment: I think he'll be good. He'll run the bullpen correctly, play the guys who are supposed to play and hit guys where they're supposed to hit. Pretty simple.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
And you want a guy that is 76 years old and way past his prime. The game has changed buddy move on. ?

Bob Geren wouldn’t be that homerun hire. Maybe something to look into but I don’t see him exciting the fan base or a good fit for the team. His winning percentage isn’t that great. He does have postseason experience but so does the other candidates that are on the list. I can see Detroit maybe hiring him.

I said it’s either Dave Roberts or Matt Quatraro. The either was the key word. Obviously your too stuck in la la land about TLR to even read my post carefully. I would be all for a Roberts hire but did I say he is a candidate? No, I was only mentioning it as an option or a possibility.

It’s either Dave Roberts or Matt Quatraro.

Tony La Russa named Manager
I know at first I had mentioned that Roberts kind of reminded me of RR but after some thought, his managerial style is different and he check marks everything Hahn is looking for. He would most likely be that manager that would lead the team to a championship right now. He’s got an impressive resume and it seems like the players love playing for him. He would also help recruit Joc to the Sox. I would be all for it but I agree let’s see if the Dodgers move another direction. That’s a tough one.

Hiring TLR as the manager would be a disaster. He is way past his prime and may not be able to get through to the players. The game has changed soo much since TLR has last managed. Let’s move forward not backwards.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this yet but it sounds like Hinch is one of the top choices. They just can’t interview him yet until after the World Series so we were going to have to wait anyways. https://www.mlb.com/amp/news/white-sox-2021-manager-search.html?tcid=tw_article_&__twitter_impression=true

Tony or Ricky
This should be an interesting thread.

Tony La Russa
I would be prepared for a somewhat confused and pissed off fan base than. That would throw any credibility that Hahn said in his presser out the door.
-
Tony La Russa
The longer this goes, the less likely TLR will be named the new manager.
-
Tony La Russa
Ummm yeah ok and Leo Mazzone as the pitching coach.
-
Tony La Russa
It sounds like you want the Sox to hire TLR. Why?

Tony La Russa named Manager
This tweet is coming from the Stadium channel. They are just tweeting and quoting what he said earlier on a show. He didn’t tweet this today on his twitter account directly but I got you. He’s really pushing this and it’s becoming old.

Tony La Russa named Manager
Ok, must have been on the radio because I didn’t see any new tweets. Anyways, he can think that but there are other people refuting it so I guess we’ll see happens.

Pitching Coach Candidates
Ahh ok I gotcha!

Pitching Coach Candidates
You mean Curt Hasler? Bullpen coach for the Sox.

Bob Knightengale has been relatively reserved the past day or so on the White Sox. Nothing new to add.
