  3. I feared that was gonna be a 2 run shot
  4. C'mon gavin finish him off
  5. hey aleast it wasnt a swinging strikeout
  6. San Fran back up on Det
  7. Its also tough seeing Brandon League make it over Sergio Santos
  8. For sure, its a shame. Konerko has numbers better than 85% of the roster. Heck Konerko can even be up for MVP if we make the post season, would be in stiff competition with Adrian Gonzalez. But MVP candidate nonetheless, biggest All-star snub.
  9. Pretty ridiculous. Lets hope he gets in through the vote in. But this is beyond stupidity, even tho 1B is stacked, Konerko deserves it and so does Humber, but there are a ton of good pitchers, but seeing Cuddyer make it in front of Konerko is disgusting. Forgot, Congrats to Quentin on his selection.
  10. Couldn't catch the game today... but once i got the opportunity to check out the score, just blew me away how Humber has held his ground since the start of the season. Its amazing how this guy has been perhaps our team MVP, some votes go to PK but I believe Humber has been our best. Still not encourage by the offensive input, but Garza is a good pitcher, lets hope they ride the wave to the ASG and after.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:41 PM) I was about to post a similar comment. Despite the 4 runs, I thought Peavy had a great start. He just had one tough battle with one of the best hitters in the league and Tulo got the best of him. It happens, and he only gave up one run after that. Really? I actually that Peavy was pretty bad out there. One great thing about Peavy is his ability to battle through a game without having his stuff, which was clearly evident today. Fastball lacked velocity today as he sat around 88-91 mph. Alot of off speed pitches used to offset the ineffectiveness of the heater. Don't know why he was trying to put Tulo away using his 91 mph fastball rather than his slider. Not the worst start by any means but could have been worse with the garbage he had today.
  12. Peavy with less than stellar stuff but still mustered a somewhat okay start. Which makes us wonder whats the issue where there are days where he absolutely has no stuff (eg: Today and the game vs the Cubs) and others when he is lights out hitting 95 mph (Cle and the relief appearance vs the Nats). But none the less the team is 7-1 when Peavy pitches.
  13. Pierre hopefully seems to have turned it around hits are coming in bunches now for him
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) got to tip your cap to Cook. Cy Young Cook!
  15. should have tried the double steal instead
  16. i cant believe Pierre ran 3-0 luckily it was a walk
  17. C'mon Juan break ur ankle there
  18. I think Peavy has a better chance at getting on Base than these clowns in our lineup
  19. only 2 hits thru 3 innings
  20. nice line drive but right at Helton, hey atleast that was an encouraging at bat there.
  21. Peavy has a 4.59 ERA at Coors field. Lets hope he can turn that around and gives a solid effort.
