  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 03:11 PM) If Rios was putting up Matt Kemp-like #s, he would be greatly outperforming his best season and would be a legitimate MVP contender. Ya him and Kemp are similar type of players, 20 Hr, 80 ish RBIs, 30 SB, .290 Avg. Kemp has taken it to the next level this season, which I was hoping to see in Rios coming over to Chicago, batting in the Cell with decent lineup protection. But hey I also thought Dunn would hit 50 Hrs coming to the Cell. Boy was I greatly disappointed.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) Didn't Rios have a couple decent seasons, then finally got paid and has been s*** since? Rios is vastly overrated. I believe Rios signed the contract extension in 08'. He has displayed the 5-tool ability in a few seasons but this season has just been terrifying for him and for us fans. These are his numbers after he signed his contract 2008: 15 Hr, 79 RBI, 91 Runs, .291 Avg, 32 SB 2009: 17 Hr, 71 RBI, 63 Runs, .247 Avg, 24 SB 2010: 21 Hr, 88 RBI, 89 Runs, .284 Avg, 34 SB Certainly he put up some impressive numbers aside from the 2009 which wasn't even that bad compared to how bad he has done so far.
  3. Certainly wouldn't shoulder that much of the blame on KW. He did his job. If every1 had done what they were supposed to do we would have ran away with this division. But instead its been the opposite. Pierre, Rios and Dunn all have sucked big time this yr, Johnny Danks had a horrible start, and our bullpen blew us a handful of games. So i Don't blame Kenny on this one. Its the players fault, all Ozzie can do is just hope these guys can get out of it. Thats what upsets every1 on this board, which I see as pathetic. Ya Pierre absolutely blows, but I don't blame Ozzie sticking with him. If he gave Rios and Dunn that much time then y not Pierre. Yes we have Viciedo waiting, but getting rid of Pierre or Teahen for that matter is not that easy. I feel there is too much unwaranted blame on the management and coaching which is not deserved.
  4. Sigh. only if every1 were a glimpse of their former selves. Imagine if we had Rios putting up Matt Kemp-like #s, every1 would be rolling on the ground. What would have been.
  5. hope to see Dunn and Lilibridge replace Pierre and Rios in tonights lineup , but I can only hope for so much.
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) Well, when is his 15-days up? He was put on the the Dl as of June 6th, so he should be activated mid next week, so I dunno why they holding him till next weekend, where he could just whoop the Cubs ass next week.
  7. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) Is Hudson even cleared to play tonight? I figured he would be a little sore from all the dick riding that he has gotten from people at Soxtalk.
  8. what is the over/under for Ozzie ejections this series?
  9. "Peavy is expected to rejoin the Sox on Friday night in Arizona and be activated no later than next weekend" Wait so when is he gonna be back. Does that mean he's bound for another rehab start cuz it say no later than next weekend so not this weekend? Why would they want him to pitch another rehab game?
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) If CQ sits instead of Pierre than I'm done with this team. We'd be 15 games out if not for CQ. If Dunn plays the OF, which is going to be extremely entertaining, it'd better be in LF for that POS. Hahaha ya he pretty much played LF majority of the times, no way they sit Quentin. I would like to see Dunn - LF, Lilli - CF, Quentin - RF, I dunno what Ozzie would do tho
  11. Also nice to see him not strikeout as much. Has been 6 games since he struck out more than once. In fact he hasn't struck out in the last two games.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 12:57 PM) Just in time for interleague play with no DH Ozzie said he will certainly put him couple of games at 1B and mentioned the possibility of Dunn in the outfield.
  13. boy being away from the board for a day I dunno even know where to begin with all that's been said. I will just leave behind Peavy's game stat line after his rehab start. 6 IP, 2 hits, 0 BB, 9 Ks. 78 pitches 58 of them for strikes, looks like he will be in pitching for the Sox vs the Cubs
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:32 PM) The only good thing to say is that it's easier to find hitting than good starting pitching. The problem is that we have to replace Buehrle, Danks and Jackson somehow. God help Sale and Peavy. I dont see how we need to replace Danks, and Buerhle. Buerhle has expressed that he wants to stay in Chicago and they way he has pitched this yr he certainly is deserving off a contract with Sox. I don't see Danks getting dealt he is still a good pitcher. I can see the team not signing Jackson however.
  15. Ok here comes Interleague ... we will be in 1st place after interleague finsihes.
  16. another Complete game loss for our pitcher coming up how sad.
  17. I can't believe I called for the White Sox to sweep the Twins before the series started boy did I forget our team sucks so bad vs MINN
  18. ok Detroit looks to blow open the game soon, 2-1 Cle but bases loaded 0 outs for DET
  19. 8 pitch inning for Blackburn... oh wow gonna be like last night again.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) I wonder if we'll play Dunn this weekend in Arizona? Kinda funny how Dunn didn't even realize he would be sitting out during these games at NL parks. Dunn is a better option in LF than Pierre. I am afraid Ozzie might sit PK one of those days just to get Dunn's bat in the lineup.
  21. How sad 2nd and 3rd no outs and no runs to show for.
