QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Mar 18, 2014 -> 08:11 AM) Tyler exuding huge confidence in his abilities by expressing surprise in being named starter. http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/tyler-...tarting-catcher "Don't they know I suck?" Oh they do...unfortunately this is one problem they havent solved yet. They have to go with the tallest midget at this point.

White Sox vs Brewers 3/17 game thread
Abreu's power just makes you smile....just misses a home run but hits that ball almost out of the park
-
ST: 3/14 vs Indians
I absolutely hate watching Axelrod pitch
-
3/10 Sox vs. Brew Crew on MLB Network
Dunn is just really bad....doesnt matter if its spring training or the regular season...he just took a fastball right down the middle for strike 3.

Teams have interest in Viciedo/De Aza
I would need a nice return to trade Viciedo. I see De Aza as the more likely one to leave.

3/4 ST vs. Indians
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 4, 2014 -> 03:00 PM) Well they already traded Reed so that immediately double the win total. Bad memories right there

Sox Eyeing Yankees' Catchers?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 26, 2014 -> 12:57 PM) Besides the tax penalty, which is why the Yankees won't give that money away. Ofcourse not....that's not what I was really replying to.

Sox Eyeing Yankees' Catchers?
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Feb 26, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) Why not? They are going to ignore the system anyway, so it really doesn't make any difference. They are said to be looking at spending $15M+ in the the international market, so they are going to accrue the most harsh penalties anyway. The only real penalty is you cannot spend next year if you go over the slot you were assigned.

Asking Prices Beginning to Fall
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2014 -> 06:58 PM) So this thread actually should have been "Asking prices barely fall at all"? Exactly

Asking Prices Beginning to Fall

Asking Prices Beginning to Fall
Its been painful to read some posts by a certain person in here...and I thought he would stop after stupid rant against Sabermetrics when he got absolutely blasted.
-
Sox breakout player for 2014?
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 11, 2014 -> 09:43 PM) WHY ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT ERVIN f***ING SANTANA Because the knuckleheads that are arguing to sign him didnt get to ramp up the assumption machine today.
-
Asking Prices Beginning to Fall
Watching Santana's fastball get launched out of the park while he earns a large salary would have not made me happy....

ESPN predicts Sox at 71-91
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 4, 2014 -> 08:29 PM) We can't become the Astros or Cubs. If that happens, our attendance will look like the A's. Yep...we need to show signs of life this year.

Grab a SP now
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 08:34 PM) Yes, pay no attention to the Red Sox top 5 payroll. Talk to me when James starts racking up the championships with the Rays. I dont even know what to say to this.....thats how incredibly stupid this comment is.

Grab a SP now
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 07:06 PM) I could not give one damn about WAR and contracts. Well then....

Grab a SP now
I'm slightly disturbed that we're talking about signing Jimenez to a multi year 40 million dollar contract

Hahn's next move?
Rick Hahn pretty much said that they wont be signing any pitcher like Santana or Garza. We just need to sit tight and wait for the international free agency period. You can blow plenty of money there.
-
Hahn's next move?
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) If all of what you say becomes reality, I still don't see the harm of signing a FA pitcher. They did....his name is Paulino

Rosenthal: Tanaka to Yankees
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 02:40 PM) The four above him have Cy Young Awards. Yep...but the Yankees needed him badly. Their pitching was looking spotty at best this season.
-
Rosenthal: Tanaka to Yankees
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 02:29 PM) So the Yankees are paying $175M over the course of 7 years, or about $25M a year if you spread it out evenly...... Good f***ing luck, jackwagons. 5th highest paid pitcher in baseball....hasnt made one pitch in the majors
-
Rosenthal: Tanaka to Yankees
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 03:17 PM) Because they're funny. Only 5% of the tweets on here are really legitimate. Make a point that this thread is only 5 percent serious by continuing to post more junk
