QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 03:24 PM) 10 back on June 20. Love it. Yeah who doesnt like losing? -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 09:29 PM) Just like with De Aza's baseball IQ, it's a mystery what has happened to Tyler's defense. Not qualified to answer that one lol

Nice defense by Flowers

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 08:54 PM) I hope you understand why he said it. Yeah its just lip service

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) Personally I think Peavy is much more likely to be dealt than Rios just on the grounds that the Sox have obvious starting pitchers sitting there and zero obvious OF's to step in for Rios next year. Yep...I think its doubtful that Rios gets traded. I think Crain is almost a guarantee.

You're Hahn, who are you looking to trade first?

QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 08:33 PM) Looking at his stats it would be hard to be impressed. .191/.277/.366 and averaging better than 1 K for every 3 PA. I remember some hardcore Angels fans in '07 salivating over our Josh Fields, and some of the questions re: Olt that were out there last offseason (why teams weren't biting on big packages headlined by Olt) made me think he may be another boom or bust Josh Fields type who just simply can't hit a fastball. His stock has dropped quite a bit from where it was not to long ago. -

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 04:25 PM) It depends what you get back. Jake was suggesting Mike Olt or a player of his caliber and readiness to contribute next year. If Olt plays like we all think he's capable of and you use the money saved to grab an impact bat or 2 then with this pitching you're set up to contend next year. just for the sake of argument Olt/Granderson/Morales > Rios/Morales or Rios/Granderson. I've seen Olt play a few times at AAA Round Rock this year. Not impressed. -
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 15, 2013 -> 09:05 PM) After the break, they should have a "mutual parting of the ways" with Ventura. Then name Mark Parent the interim just to get a feel for him the rest of the season, and go from there. Now will this happen? Of course not. We arent lucky enough

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 15, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) They won't can him. He is a Sox legend That shouldnt matter at all. His job right now is to manage this team. Thats what he should be judged on. Not his past accomplishments as a player.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2013 -> 08:56 PM) How is Ventura still employed? This is the worst managed Sox team I've seen in the 20 years or so I've been watching baseball closely. I honestly dont know the answer to that...

What a freakin mess this has turned into

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) This team looked like they were obsessed with the short porch in LF tonight. But yes, I agree they're content in losing. I think thats rather silly....defeated maybe. Content with it...I dont think so. Being content with it could cost them money(aka a job).
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 10:12 PM) Not sure if you were watching, but it was an infield hit that Carter absolutely should have picked. Dan Hayes basically just absolved his struggles because the rest of the lineup is struggling.....dont know if he has actually been paying attention to Flowers since he has been in baseball.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 10:24 PM) Well, it's not like he's getting battered around the diamond. A weak ball to short center and an infield grounder aren't "bad." Dont listen to me.....I'm drinking

Bad Nate Jones has returned

Get Axelrod out for the love of god

I know some people that though Dickey was going to continue his domination from last year....boy didnt that turn out bad.

Where is that idiot that was giving me crap for making fun of Adam Dunn?

That just sucks

QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 09:52 PM) Don't exaggerate. "Rock bottom" is in the 100 loss season range. This team won't be quite that awful, as they will pull out of the current rut they're in, and at the very least, play somewhere in between the team that was in first place for the majority of last year and where they're at right now. Like i was sayin...people dont know what rock bottom is on here. Be thankful you dont.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 09:45 PM) There's not a single player in our line-up that anyone would be particularly upset not to see in the starting line-up on Opening Day, 2014. If there is one, it's probably Konerko, for sentimental reasons. As long as they keep the starting pitching staff intact, they're not really blowing anything up. Now if you start talking about dealing Sale, Reed, Quintana and Santiago, all bets are off. That's almost inconceivable, no matter how bad things are right now or even if fans start coming to games disguised by paper bags over their heads or as empty seats. Cant argue with any of that.
-
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) It gets worse than losing? Who gives a f***, no one's going to watch this garbage all summer anyway. Do something to try to improve for the future. Oh it could be alot worse than it is right now. I use to watch the Astro's AAA team and go to a few of the major league games. You dont have any clue until you've seen a complete tear down.
-
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 09:40 PM) Blow it up. I'm serious. It's just getting worse and worse. Hope your prepared to watch even worse baseball....I'm pretty sure most people on here are not prepared for that.
