  1. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:36 PM) You banking on Youk having a healthy/rebound season, huh? The problem is our choices are very limited and so are his.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:35 PM) Just like to point out the fastball Scott hit out was 88 mph. Hahn and Kenny, don't even think about bringing him back. The only one I bring back on the list you posted yesterday is Youk. Everyone else I think we can replace.
  3. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:32 PM) How is Peavy feeling right now? How pissed is he. Who the hell cares? He needs to keep doing his job and not worry about everyone else.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) This is nuts, isn't it? Never seen a team struggle so predictably with RISP. Oh well, this would have been much worse if the Sox were like 6 or 7 up a week ago and still blew it. It is nuts. But I expected that from alexei and gordon.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:29 PM) Ha, of course. This team is so full of chokers right now. Dont worry about it fathom.
  6. This avatar better work. I had to take out Kurt Russell for this....
  7. Welp guys its been fun as usual but its time for bed.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:15 PM) Yes, but I'm starting to think the team of September is our real team. And that is an unwatchable baseball squad that has to be torched. Once again proving my point
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:11 PM) They have to blow it up because you'd have to pay our fans to watch this crap next season rather than make them pay 40 bucks for parking, etc. This is really really bad baseball. Nobody with a brain will go watch this. They'll do anything to not have to go to the Cell to watch baseball in which starting pitchers not named Sale can't pitch 5 innings. Hawk sounds resigned to the fact we stink. Thank goodness you arent the GM Greg. The prospect of tearing down a baseball team after a pretty good season is completely asinine. That is a complete overreaction to the highest order. People in management dont operate like that.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) I don't think we have bad fans, they just don't come to the park unless we have a consistent (aka more than one season) winner 100 percent agree
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:05 PM) Your ridiculous what? You know about three weeks ago you said the season is over. Now your back at it again saying this team needs to be torn down. Im sorry you like to be miserable.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:03 PM) Peavy, Youk, Floyd and Thornton QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:05 PM) FWIW, I'd easily keep Peavy at a fair price and Youk
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:01 PM) Rick Hahn...tear down this team. hahaha your ridiculous
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) its only the 6th and I'm already tanked. I was getting there but I ran out of the punch in my fruit punch.
  15. Can someone run out to the store and get me another bottle of Vodka? I need a refill. Its going to a long night.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) Give me a bat. I wanna bat. Sit down and have a cup of coffee.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) This game may be a laugher by the end of this half inning. We just suck. We truly suck. Calm down already
  18. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) I think your first point is fair. But I would say, and I could very well be myopic here, that he's regressed as the season has went along. That very well could be a factor of the division race, but it's very frustrating. Well the point is that I am willing to give him the time to improve or regress. I have no loyalties towards a manager. But I am willing to give him the time to show how he can help or potentially hurt this ball club.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:11 PM) As I said earlier (and was saving for an end of year recap on Ventura), the fundamentals that he's brought to the team are severely underrated. I'm interested in looking at the stats for SB/CS for and against the Sox, as well as other stats. I do wonder if maybe it's time for Cooper to go elsewhere and let the manager actually manage? Im not sure on the last part.....thats up to management on that one. As far as Robin goes I am happy just by the fact the guy isnt causing all sorts of up roar with the media. Its been a pretty pleasant season.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) And that's by far the biggest issue I've had with Ventura the last month. He's managing so much different than he was for the majority of the season. But see he can build off this which I think is a pretty exciting prospect. I think it was a pretty good hire just looking at this season alone. But with experience it should hopefully get much better.
  21. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) People dont realize that Robin may have saved the White Sox from a serious multi-year rebuild. They just want to b**** about his failure. As much as I agree....that goes for a lot of managers. Trust me if we would have went the way of the Cubs I would have said **** it a long time ago.
