  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) BTW, Sox have 4 guys in the lineup tonight slugging under .300. Something has got to be done about the 3rd base spot, as Escobar cannot hit. Have anyone in mind?
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 3, 2012 -> 08:03 PM) It's early enough that the Yanks might grab it Doesnt he have a no trade clause this year?
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 3, 2012 -> 08:01 PM) JDINAA "John Danks is the best 0-8 pitcher I have ever seen" He was pitching decent then....right now he is pitching like complete trash
  4. I never thought Id be looking forward to Peavy pitching over Danks
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2012 -> 07:57 PM) Would have loved a rain out tonight to give him another day of rest. He's just throwing batting practice out there. He has been throwing batting practice pretty much everytime he has been out there
  6. Damn that was a good hit by Fuku....great catch though
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2012 -> 07:51 PM) It was 6.23 coming into the game Ok thank you
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2012 -> 07:49 PM) Unearned run Yeah I know that Im just saying isnt he at like 6.3 or something right now?
  9. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 3, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) That's why we don't coach. I would have had him take 3 pitches on 3-0. Would have told him to close his eyes just in-case he gets any urge to swing. Quite right
  10. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 3, 2012 -> 06:51 PM) Morel sucks, but I read nothing into taking two pitches on 3-0 lastnight. I'm 100% sure that he had the take on 3-0, and 90% sure that he had the take on 3-1. He did swing at a bad pitch to strikeout, but it's not like he watched two fastballs go by because he couldn't pull the trigger. It was obvious that RV had him take 2 with a new(possibly wild) reliever in the game, and the game tied leading off the 7th. You mentioned that last night which is very possibly. Personally I dont think he should swing at anything while he is up there. When he does he just embarrasses himself.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 3, 2012 -> 06:20 PM) Why is that? I don't understand the Morel over Beckham people at all. As bad as Beckham has been this year, he has looked a lot better at the plate than Morel. Morel is younger, a whole 7 months, but has had one good month at the major league level. Beckham had a nice stretch in 2009 and the second half of 2010. Defensively, its a wash at best for the Morel people. I guess my thinking is if you think Beckham is garbage, don't you have to think the same of Morel? Yeah I dont understand it either. Sure Gordon didnt play all that well last night. But atleast we saw signs of life with him. Remember More's last 2 at bats? Take fastball up the middle then swing at everything out of the zone. He was up 3-0 and didnt swing on 2 pitches up the middle. Last one he swung at was out of the zone. He is just completely lost right now.
  12. Well atleast I dont have to see Morel strike out again
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:45 PM) The White Sox had a chance to sell Matt Thornton. Much like they had a chance to sell Bobby Jenks. They did not sell Bobby Jenks and wound up getting nothing for him. They have yet to sell Matt Thornton, and they will wind up getting nothing for him as well. Id didnt realize you were in the room with Kenny while he was fielding calls for Matt.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:43 PM) Thornton looks like Josey Wales with the beard. I rather have Josey Wales on the mound right now
  15. Hopefully someone trades for Matt and gets his salary off our pay roll
