2015-2016 NBA Thread
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) It seems to me Rose is better when Butler is out, and Butler is better when Rose is out. Have one of them come off the bench. I've been saying this all season. Preferably Rose.

Crain's: White Sox sign with Coke after 15-year run with Pepsi
QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) I drink at least 24 oz of Diet Coke a day, often a lot more, and I'm fine, but I understand diet pop can have bad effects on people's weight too. Ultimately I think people are responsible for what they eat but I don't wanna get too filibustery. I'm not trying to crusade to stop people from drinking what they like. I just personally don't get it America's obsession with sugar infused carbonated drinks. That is all.

Crain's: White Sox sign with Coke after 15-year run with Pepsi
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) I do agree with obesity and diabetes problem . I read where the average American has almost doubled it's calorie intake from drinks the past 20 years. The small coke at McDonalds (I know, another poison factory) is the same size as the large coke in the 70s. Free refills etc. But in moderation, it does hit the spot. I do agree about the plastic bottles, but every once in a while a bottle or can of Coke is delightful. In moderation, nothing will truly kill you but people buy a slew of these s*** drinks and drink multiple cans a day. It's really bad.

They both suck. America's obesity and diabetes problems start with these damned carbonated sugar drinks. Just say no.

2016 Republican Thread
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 3, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) I think our next President should be the first to attack this issue and get all veterans taken care of and pronto. But that would be an issue that actually helps the people. None of our leaders seem too interested in making all our lives actually better. Trump and Hillary both seem like they have better things to worry about, like uh, themselves and satisfying their huge egos. This problem is DISGRACEFUL. Take care of our vets for gawd-sakes!! BS would. You have to agree with that.

Ok have your abortions be illegal. I guess that means taxes will go when we have to take care of all the unwanted kids until they are 18.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 01:43 PM) Kasich just finished 4th place in a primary despite there being 3 people left in the race. Impressively bad. I guess Kasich just doesn't have the GOP factor?

2016 Democratic Thread
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 10:48 AM) I don't think it's all that much different for Democrats. Hillary is reviled by a lot of people and their only other option is someone far left. Neither party has a candidate right now that people can really be jumping for joy over. Personally, unless Kasich somehow wins at the convention, I can't see myself voting for any other Republican candidate, so I'll be voting for Clinton. Sure the democrats have their problems too and Clinton is at the head of that if you ask me. That being said, I think it's disingenuous on your part to act like these problems are similar. Hilary is not a good candidate but she is not talking about spying on Muslims, trying to implement a christian version of sharia law, or behaving like minorities are the problems with this country. The fact that Ted Cruz berates a Georgia governor because he believes he kowtowed to the PC crowd over "religious freedom" is pretty bloody repulsive.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 11:02 PM) Cruz was doing his best in the CNN town hall to remind everyone that he's just a little more eloquent in his insane views than trump. To be a Republican right now must be difficult. Pick your poison carefully... preferably the poison that kills you the easiest.

2016 Democratic Thread
QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 11:03 AM) Even in the reports I have read on it the media is using the way Washington awards its delegates to make it seem like Bernie only cut her lead by 35 delegates when in reality it will be closer to a 65 or so gain once the rest of the delegates are awarded. One article I read made the ridiculous assertion that Bernie continues to do well in "predominantly white, caucus states" despite the fact that Washington, Hawaii and Alaska are three of the most ethnically diverse states in the USA. The media bias is really out of hand. It's ok, people that care to educate themselves on the matter will do so. The sheeple will be sheeple until their last breath, you won't influence them because they just want to eat grass.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 10:26 AM) You'd never know about Bernie's big Saturday because the media is practically ignoring it. The favoritism in the media on both sides is ridiculous. #birdgate
