QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Oct 14, 2017 -> 01:02 AM) I already laid 5K on the Dodgers to win the series. If anyone knows me on the forum, it's that I'm degen gambler with a pretty solid record. :sweep:

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 16, 2017 -> 11:57 PM) Health insurance MUST be for everyone because of the abuses in the system that has made it unaffordable for all but the rich. But it never will be socialized medicine. The rich won't go for it. Doctors won't go for it. Doctors need to make zillions of dollars and the only way they can is the way we pay now. That's why we had to elect Bernie. He was our only hope for a fair system. Bernie would have the same problems Trump has passing his terrible health care bill. He's trying like the dickens though.

If anyone says Merry Christmas to me, I swear to god I'll sue.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 10:55 PM) Every little thing is gonna be alright. Dervish vs Hendricks Tuesday, I like it. Odd start time though, 8pm CT. My guess is the yankees astros will precede this game hence the later starting time.

The Dodgers are not the Nats. I can’t repeat this enough.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Oct 15, 2017 -> 02:21 PM) http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/2102617...es-chicago-cubs What Maddon ignores is that Culberson had every right to run Contreras over like a freight train and should have, but he didn't. But I guess it's easier to blame the rule instead of his own catcher for blocking the plate that caused Culberson to try and avoid a collision that could injure both players. Whiners are going to whine when things do not go their way. No matter what, Maddon would be whining, tis the way of the cubs and their fans. Just like when cubs fans whined about AJ absolutely bulldozing Barrett at home plate when it was Barrett's fault for blocking home plate in the first place. Whaaaaaa! What if Culberson trucked Contreas and f***ed him up for the entire playoffs? I bet Maddon's tune would be different.

Soxbadger is a commie socialist bastard. He probably doesn't even have a job and smokes grass in his parent's basement. Stop trying to get free s***, loser!

The Dodgers are not the f***ing Nationals. Good luck scrubs.

Dodgers are going to pummel the Cubs. They have no chance. This is not the same Dodger team as last year. They have a legit 3 headed monster, and a bullpen to back it up. Oh and they can score f***ing runs! What a concept.

The USA saved themselves for utter embarrassment in Russia. I liked the US reaching the knockout stages but in reality, they aren't beating the teams that matter. Atleast the woman's program is elite.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 11:26 PM) Do you realize the Cubs are about to win 2 straight WS? After all those years of futility? If this happens, Theo and Maddon should be immediately inducted into the Hall. These are the Cubs glory years. Can you imagine if the Sox take over after the little Cub dynasty years? Chicago is the king of the sports world (not that I am embracing the Cubs). But with all these Blackhawks titles and the Jordan era not so long ago, the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox will have a lot of world championships for this city. The Dodgers are going to destroy the Cubs.

QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 11:43 PM) Guys, I can't wait anymore for the Bears to find a damn QB, because I don't think that Trubisky is going to be that guy. Usually, when a player has the "It Factor" you know right away. I didn't see it from Trubisky. There were no "wow" moments. Contrary to popular belief, I saw a guy who was overwhelmed at the NFL level. I think everyone, all across the country has been doing sports wrong since the invention of the national TV contracts. Who says that "you root for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back" I now disagree. You root for the best talent in sports to do great things on the biggest stages, no matter what laundry they wear. Who says I have to "dislike/hate" Aaron Rodgers? he is one of the best QBs to ever play the game. If the guy doesn't wear the laundry from my home town, who cares? These are the best players. Obviously it is easier to follow hometown teams, because of cable packages, etc. BUT, I think there is no reason to go through the misery of watching your hometown team suck for years, and somehow if they win it all once that is supposed to make it better. "You can't do that, you are being a bandwagoner" Counterpoint: I enjoy the sport, and I also enjoy great players being great. I can't tie my allegiances to one team anymore. I root for the name on the back, not on the front now. In the age of National TV contracts, and sports packages there is no need to tie yourself to one team. Rooting for the name on the front of the jersey is an antiquated philosophy of sports fandom. Just enjoy Football/Baseball/Basketball/Hockey and learn to recognize and enjoy greatness when you see it. And if it comes from Green Bay, Minnesota, Detroit, New York, wherever.........who cares? Sports was meant to be entertainment, and I want to be entertained, not have increased stress in my life. Everyone needs to relax and have fun. Life is too short to wait for your hometown team to win. /end rant The irony of your rant is you talk about Aaron Rodgers, a guy who sat behind Brett Favre for years, who became an elite NFL QB. Trubisky has not played nearly as many snaps as most 2nd overall picks. Give him time.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 09:27 AM) According to facebook, they're protesting the military and veterans. A majority of the people in the world are idiots and believe anything spoonfed to them.

Trump is genius. Misdirection is his forte. He's trying to get people distracted so he can try to pass his disastrous policies. People just need to keep their eyes on the prize, Trump's rhetoric is nothing new and should be treated as white noise. He is what he is.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 24, 2017 -> 12:58 AM) Look, I was a Bernie lover and Hillary hater. Lots of us out there. The Democrats failed us in giving us Hillary vs. Trump. Trump should never have won; should never have gotten any momentum. It's also the Republicans fault for giving us such lousy opposition in the primaries to Trump. I mean Trump just lacerated everybody so to speak. He bullied Bush; he made the surgeon Carson seem like a sturgeon; he annihilated Carly; he never allowed Kasisch to gain any steam. Had any of the traditional candidates looked presidential instead of clownish Trump would have dropped out early in the primary season. Don't forget there were tons of Americans against Hillary. The Democrats coulda went Bernie. Trump is president now, there is no time to worry about what could have been. If D's really want to dethrone Trump next election, they better start clicking with the common folks and not their typical business as usual shenanigans.

Obviously the investigation is still ongoing but what if and I am saying what if, they find Trump was involved with the Russians on the suspected level people claim? Do his supporters still back him? Civil War? This is genuine question.
