  3. Terrific baserunning from "one of the worst baserunners in baseball history".
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 20, 2014 -> 02:09 PM) Why do so many people hate Danks? He's having a great year for a guy coming off an injury. He's performed pretty well this season. So what if he makes a ton of cash. It's not our money. It's not like Sox would do anything with the extra cash if they didn't have to pay Danks. He's gotten lucky with his ERA, he's been one of the worst starters in the majors by a lot of different metrics
  5. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) Whatever feeky For the record, I was going to offer you a wager it'd be below 3.50. Let's hope it happens regardless.
  6. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:15 PM) He was good. But you like to pick and choose when you show up and just splatter your souped up stats to try to make yourself seem like the smartest around here. In order for me to avoid picking and choosing, what sort of ERA do you expect Belisario to have the rest of the year? If I recall correctly you said he was a bad pitcher with bad control and command, so it shouldn't be good surely?
  7. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 09:08 PM) Lexi brutal batting 2nd What did you make of Belisario tonight?
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 09:01 PM) I care more about winning games, than splits. You don't think splits can lead to winning or losing games?
  9. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 07:56 PM) If you a prospect is struggling, why do you continue to play him everyday. Trey M (My favorite prospect in the system btw) is 0 for his last 39?, and is obviously stuck in a rut, but he keeps going out there everyday. Why not give him a chance to breathe and collect himself? 3 for his last 39. And he was 16 for 38 before that.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:58 PM) LIterally the difference in the game right now. Er, yeah, does that change the fact that overall they have huge L/R splits?
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:53 PM) Those two are 3-7 including a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored. Blind squirrel, nuts, etc.
  12. With a more flexible bench, we have two players (Gillaspie and De Aza) that if we keep both, could put up some pretty good lines if platooned. Gillaspie hitting .360 against righties and .197 against lefties, De Aza .278 against righties and .078 against lefties. All their power coming against righties too.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:43 PM) He's either been really good, or really bad. There has been zero middle ground. If I recall correctly, he gave up 5 earned runs in 0.1 IP in Colorado near the start of the year when pitching hurt. His SIERA on the year is 2.91.
  14. Belisario's ERA down to 4.94. Should really start to plummet now given how well he's pitched overall.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:29 PM) The real De Aza is closer to .200 than .365 Slightly. Career .269 hitter.
  16. Phegley and Wilkins both 2-4, both red-hot
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) Time for him to go before we get April thru June 4th numbers again. Doubt he has another run of 2 straight months with a BABIP well over 100 points below his career average to be fair
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:02 PM) The last 12 days of De Aza in a Sox uniform. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 08:08 PM) I hope some sucker takes him. Hitting .365/.400/.538 since June 4th
  19. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 07:43 PM) Whats so funny? That's 2 games in a row that Tyler has come through with an RBI hit. I'm no fan of Flowers by any means, but I'd love to see his bat come to life in the second half of the season. So? He's just had a few hits that happened to come with men on base. Including that hit that just happened while I'm typing (lol), he's 24 for his last 160 at-bats. .150/.214/.238. It's the second season in a row he's hit utterly abysmally and if it wasn't for a BABIP that's up almost 90 points from last year, he'd have been even worse. I'd love to see his bat come to life too but it ain't happening. He's a bad, awful hitter, and we need a new catcher.
  20. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 07:29 PM) I just got in and checked the box score......I see that Flowers has another RBI again tonight. Maybe we don't need to rush out and sign AJ. lol
  21. How many god damn times are we gonna give up a hit this year because of playing the third baseman in? Answer: a hell of a lot more than the occasional bunt base hit we'd have given up.
