  1. First time all year Altuve has struck out 3 times. 4th in his career.
  2. *David Attenborough voice* And here we see... nature's most rare occurrence... a productive Tyler Flower's at-bat
  3. Webb's last 4 outings, including tonight: 6.0 IP, 4H, 1ER, 0BB, 10K
  4. Just the 4th time this season Altuve has struck out twice in one game
  5. Micah 3-4, hitting .299 for Charlotte now. Just needs some more walks and power. Phegley 2-3, he's on fire.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 08:22 PM) 89 pitches thru 4 Ball 4 instead of what I think should've been strike 3 to Springer in the 1st cost him 10 extra pitches.
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Tyler struck out. Crazy. Is that his first strikeout of the year? You just don't see Tyler K.
  8. Not even 3 innings in, and Jared Mitchell is 3-3 with a double. He is such a tease.
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 04:55 PM) They can't draft him again without his permission. That's my point
  10. Strikes me as a bit unfair that second run was earned for Q, a single that reached third due to an error scoring on a groundout. Is it because there was a walk and a single after?
  11. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 07:38 PM) Probably at the beginning of August, he has to train for a few weeks in Arizona before we can play with Winston Salem. Actually he's debuting with the AZL White Sox early next week and then going to WS on the 28th
  12. Hawk just called George Springer a future Hall of Famer...
  13. Striking out a guy who doesn't strike out is a good way to start
  14. Strikeout, inside-the-park homer, groundout, flyout for Danish in the 5th
  15. 5 strikeouts through 4 now for Danish. No walks, 3 hits, 1 unearned run and 5 groundouts to no flyouts.
  16. Danish has struck out 3 through 3 and given up an unearned run
  17. It would be funny/unfortunate if the Astros had the 1 and 2 picks in next year's draft considering Aiken needs to go very high to get more than he turned down
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 03:34 PM) Ha, I didn't even think of how this could screw over the Cubs. Awesome. Ben Badler ‏@BenBadler 14m Downstream, this hurts teams like the Cubs, Rangers, and others in the mix for a top five pick next year. Everyone gets bumped down. Can you think of another team probably in the mix for a top five pick that this hurts?
  19. 2013 Draft: Astros take Mark Appel one spot ahead of Kris Bryant. Appel with a 10+ ERA, Bryant the best prospect in baseball 2014 Draft: Astros take Brady Aiken two spots ahead of Carlos Rodon. Aiken has a physical issue and does not sign, Rodon...?
  20. Likely means the White Sox are picking one further slot down in next year's draft, unless several of our players die
  21. Jim CallisVerified account ‏@jimcallisMLBBaseball source: @Astros did not sign Aiken or Nix either. Houston gets No. 2 overall pick next year. @MLBDraft
  22. I'd be interested to know the rationale behind Chris Beck at 5. I'd take each of the 6-10 prospects in a one-for-one swap for Beck.
  23. Cameron doesn't seem to be aware Abreu can (and almost certainly will) opt into arbitration
