Quintana Polls
I'm not sure the Rangers can get Quintana. Their prospects don't exactly fit our rebuild.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 04:00 PM) Agreed. I think Rodgers has a very good argument for the best ever despite the lack of rings. Which kind of begs the question: Are the Packers as an organization holding Aaron Rodgers back? It seems like every year they are a flawed team. Is a change needed at GM?

QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 03:08 PM) Rodon should undoubtedly be available for the right deal. I have serious doubts they would get the right offer for Rodon, but if they do they should take it. What are you hoping to get? He's young enough he makes it through any rebuild.

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 03:01 PM) This. Trading Rodon now would be idiotic. You mean we're not planning on a 14 year rebuild?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 01:37 PM) Any password vault by definition makes it easier to remember your stuff, but does not reduce the likelihood of you getting hacked. Hacking someone's password through brute force is one way. The easier and more traditional way of hacking someone is by resetting their password and figuring out their secret questions. Its quite easy actually. Right. And it's becoming clear that two factor must be done the right way. A lot of time we rely too often on things thieves can take (i.e. something you know or something you have) when the reality is something you are is the most secure (fingerprint). Passwords, especially weak ones, can be figured out fairly easily and you phone can easily be stolen, so most two factor stuff is fairly weak.

QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 01:37 PM) So if a guy says he would like to sign now for a bit less than he would be able to make on the open market because he likes where he currently is and that team inked him to that deal for the sole purpose of trading his ass thats OK? That's really how you want teams to behave? Not only would the guy be getting traded, but he'd be making less than he could've if he tested the market. You do understand if this kind of situation plays out the idea of the hometown discount will completely disappear? Business of the game. No one forced anyone to sign any contracts.

I don't know what it is about Fangio, but year in and year out he gets passed over. Jim Tomsula got an NFL job over him.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 07:46 PM) Been a fun one through two periods with the Wild. This would be a really nice message game as MN has been ridiculously hot.- Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 10:25 AM) My source tells me the market was quiet, and Hahn is trying to give other teams a kick in the butt to speed up the market. You need a better source. No one is saying this.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread

Elliott. Oh my god.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 06:14 PM) Zeke is averaging about 6 ypc. Keep running the ball. Where is the read option game? He's insane. Down 8, I would expect him to get some touches.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread
QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 06:03 PM) Controlling the game with Elliott was their best path to victory but Dallas' playcalling since the Pittsburgh game has been more about highlighting how smart they were to draft Prescott. They aren't dead yet, but they should've used Elliott to keep Rodgers off the field as much as possible in the early parts of the game. Agreed, but a lot of that is due to bad penalties. You can't make mistakes which make a first down increasingly difficult. No one wins a shootout when starting down 18 points.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread
QUOTE (Boogua @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 05:49 PM) After that penalty he missed a guy that would have gotten the first down. I'm convinced the game would be a bit closer with Romo. Who knows though Maybe a little, but I can understand why Dallas sticks with Prescott. He's the future of the franchise as far as they're concerned. Green Bay winning is frustrating.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread
A real defense would give the Packers fits. It didn't take much for Marinelli to break them to end the half.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread
QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 04:21 PM) This is gonna be a blow out, isn't it. Yep. The Dallas defense is a joke. Dallas can't make this many mistakes on offense and beat Aaron Rodgers with that awful crap.- 2016-2017 NFL Thread

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) I agree; however, he is more accomplished because he's played on better teams with a better coach, not because he's a better quarterback than Aaron Rodgers. The stat I posted above shows that in nearly half of Brady's career postseason wins he played average to below average. The Packers never win in the postseason if Rodgers plays average to below average (well they did once) and sometimes they don't even win when he plays well above average. I'm still failing to understand why that would be held against him in a Rodgers vs Brady debate. In fact, there's a pretty good chance Rodgers has a monster game today (300+ yards, 3 TD, 100+ passer rating) and the Packers still lose. He is the single most important player to his team in the NFL and yet there's only so much he can do if the defense is sucking it up. We'll see what happens but if Rodgers wills his team to a road playoff win against the top team in the conference without his best WR, it's another tally for Rodgers in this debate. I tend to agree. I just don't like to make these comparisons because as fans of a team, only one stat matters. As fans of players, things get super muddy.- Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jan 14, 2017 -> 11:20 PM) The Switch looks like a complete joke. It's basically an Nvidia tablet for $100 more, with worse controllers and a non-replaceable battery. I have a feeling this might be the final nail in Nintendo's coffin. Technologically, I agree with you, but it looks like this system could be wildly popular. We shall see.- Predict Thy Numbers: Avisail Garcia
Hopefully not on the White Sox. End of discussion for me. I suppose he can play for us the first half of the season and if he's good get moved as a sweetener.- Sox holding talks "daily" on Q
QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 10:11 AM) Keep Q! Drake trouble makers are gone. New manager. Go for it! Infusion of young talent mid season will help put them over the top. I guarantee something similar to this has crossed KW's mind. Thank God Ken Williams isn't in charge of baseball personnel. More bum overpriced, mediocre free agents. Yuck.- 2016-17 NHL Thread
