  1. Whatever you say, Skip Bayless Oh wait, I just insulted Skip Bayless. Trubisky is as good or better than Watson. Period.
  2. I would just draft a fast kid. I'm not ready to sink more FA money into the WR.
  3. As an aside: How freaking crazy is it that we are saying the Bears have no major needs? This entire draft (even without the first couple of picks) is depth. I'm pleased.
  4. Fair, but he's not good anymore
  5. Alshon doesn't solve our no number one, either.
  6. I see what you're saying, but Dez Bryant is a worse Robinson. He doesn't really add any dimensions to our offense. And I'm a Cowboys guy generally.
  7. This is a good point. Bears have draft picks and the luxury to maybe address this. There's nothing they clearly need to draft this year for reasons other than to improve depth.
  8. I'm using a superior, situational stat to tell you you're wrong.
  9. It also implies that he believes teams need a number one receiver to win the Super Bowl. We know that's not true (uh, patriots)
  10. None of those measure player quality well. They're only pieces of the puzzle. QBR isn't great either but it takes more valuable information into consideration.
  11. They're all bad takes based on narratives. Most are false.
  12. Right. Teams play to the stat sheet long term, but any one game is such a big deal. Part of the reason why the NFL playoffs are so difficult.
  13. He's statistically not a better player than Trubisky. Nothing really to disagree with.
  14. There's no question he's the second most valuable player on that defense. His impact on the field is enormous.
  15. The local media has a word for most of these takes. It starts with "Out of town" and I'll let you finish it with what you think is appropriate. Most of these takes are narrative based and not based in reality.
  16. That's freaking amazing.
  17. Good thing Anthony Miller had an awesome season.
  18. This is actually pretty crazy, because QBR is a rounded QB stat.
  19. Well said. Here's the thing about Trubisky: He's realistically as good or better than DeShaun Watson. Yet Watson is a media darling. Trubisky isn't. I can't explain it, personally.
  20. Quite the opposite. With a decent kicker, Trubisky won that game and we're talking about how well he plaid. And for all the sadness, it all comes down to this: If your quarterback is good, you're in good shape in the NFL. The defense is still young, talented, and inexpensive. Add to that Pace's skill on lower draft picks and you're looking at increased depth.
  21. The Trubisky injury clearly made an impact on the game plan. When MT became reasonably immobile, the team had to do more dedicated runs and screens.
  22. The Howard love is understandable and everyone should enjoy him next year in his last year with the Bears.
  23. Right. The Bears could beat anyone any week. Some people here just want this team to fail so they can grumble.
  24. It was clearly more than a couple of skin cells.
