  1. That did not happen based on the replay.
  2. Couple things We're a Matt Nagy offense, so screen passing and traditional passing with schemes to open receivers and tight ends Living and dying by your quarterback is the modern NFL. And for the record, a bad field goal does not mean we died by Trubisky's arm. That was a big time drive fourth quarter.
  3. It's pretty basic physics. Any small tip at the point of contact causes a large affect towards the end of the ball's trajectory. The ball hit the upright. I'm not saying it would have been perfect but it would likely have been a good field goal.
  4. Look man, facts are facts. The video is clear. You believe whatever BS Cub fan style hocus pocus you want to believe. Seriously, stop with the nonsense. Leave that to the north siders
  5. It's not a matter of should or shouldn't. It just does sometimes. Underwood had nothing when he arrived.
  6. I mean, a lot of that is bad luck, too, though. It takes a pretty mammoth effort to block a kick.
  7. Trubisky did what he needed to do. That's the major positive I took out of this.
  8. Bad comment. If he got a piece of the kick, that's a difference between a make and hitting the upright. You're upset, that's fine. I am, too. But the Bears should have scored more than 16 and the kick was tipped.
  9. Hopefully that doesn't mean Machado was choosing the winner of this game
  10. Give me four years of Underwood classes and we'll see how good Illinois is. Programs are built. I don't care if today is the bottom.
  11. T-Wolves realized what a lot of us knew a long time ago: Thibs is an all time great defensive tactician. He is a bad coach.
  12. Trying to aid the sting by realizing Mitch was great to finish the game. Still sucks to lose that way.
  13. At least they need to improve. I'm not sure how close they have to get to the tournament. At some point Whitman isn't going to be able to ask to pay another basketball coach
  14. He talks a big rebuild and so far he has delivered in the farm system.
  15. Meh, the difference between baseball living or dying isn't Bryce Harper signing at an already popular team. They're better off waking a sleeping fanbase with him signing somewhere like the south side. White Sox fans love a winner and they'll go to games and watch games on TV for a winner.
  16. So about that TV contract
  17. I don't normally defend the G-man, but he was wrong, not necessarily sexist.
  18. Baseball is a business. The two of them are going to do what's best for them. She could fly first class to see her brother every weekend for like a century if Machado gets the money he wants.
  19. "But if the Cubs are successful the White Sox and the Reinsdorf family will go from swimming in an ocean of money to a sea of money. After that they're going to leave and we're going to be sad" Trust me, man. I've died on this hill before. It's not worth it.
  20. That could happen, but right now the Cubs have too many players onboard and likely would have to make a serious move to stay within their budget targets.
  21. Offseason. Don't ever change. I do love this board.
  22. Man, it's not an offseason thread until someone trashes someone else for saying something kind of not hateful about the Cubs
  23. Lol no they didn't. They had no interest in moving the Cubs. They just wanted to get what they wanted.
