  1. This is obviously quite a high right now, but this is what happens in a rebuild. At some point, all that talent starts to shine. Sure, some may bust but left and right things are looking up.
  2. I'll have what he's having. But I am also quite excited.
  3. Regardless, this team has been the more compelling of the Chicago clubs through the first week of the season. Future sure looks bright.
  4. Same. I just really like a lot we hear about this kid.
  5. The made a very odd choice when the blew the whole thing up in 2012 to go for only fielding talent. That farm system has been comically horrible at developing pitching talent under Epstein. They knew they were going to have to sign pitchers but man they could benefit from any performance from some home grown guys.
  6. There will be good days and bad days, but performances like this are small indications the White Sox are on the right path
  7. His family owns the conglomerate from Breaking Bad!
  8. Is Noberto Martin taken?
  9. Yeah, pitching is a problem on the north side.
  10. The only possible relevant sample size in your house of cards argument is 4 games. We can come back to this in five months
  11. Your argument melts when you include the most important factor: sample size. The rest is just nonsense arguing. You made your point, but the argument is decided: It's too early to tell anything about Eloy Jimenez. You cannot win this argument.
  12. Man, I'm really hoping this is a turnaround for Yoan. But yeah, four games.
  13. Right. I wonder what @GenericUserName expects more minor league at bats to achieve.
  14. No, common sense says: Eloy Jimenez has done all he can in the minors Spring training is practice games 4 games is 2.5% of the season Everything else is a fabrication on your part.
  15. This garbage is myopic. A good draft pick matters. Period. Nick Madrigal looks like a good pick. Would you rather we not have him?
  16. If Moncada is great and we're still terrible, that's fine. It's annoying we're not winning, but the young guys need to pan out. If we're not going to be good (and looking at this roster, we're not good), then we need to keep accruing talent.
  17. This conversation appears to be going like the Moncada discussion last year. At some point, they have to learn in the major leagues against major league pitching.
  18. That’s a great deal. Those two years would be very expensive if he turns out as good as the experts think he can be.
  19. OP is advised to stop watching baseball and up his medication
  20. Why are you comparing a publicly traded company to a franchise of a monopoly-exempt sport? They have almost nothing in common. Google employees Are employed at will and can be fired at any time Don't usually make guaranteed money are not drafted Baseball players make guaranteed money are bound by collectively bargained contracts can only move freely during free agency After signing a free agent deal, their values plummet as their talent remains the same but their pay increases exponentially The White Sox and Google have almost nothing in common.
  21. This post is just the worst. You win and you do it as long as possible. You control your assets as long as possible. You don't give away value on a whim. It's unbelievable people feel this way. Superstars will go wherever they want regardless of how nice the FO is to them. This is a business. You get that extra year.
