I'm not against moving Borchard, but not in the same deal as Magglio. If they can land Ortiz and Jones, then turn Borchard and a pitching prospect into another starter that would be ideal.

Like I told Jason on AIM yesterday, any trade involving Magglio does not include the big 4 outfielders. Atleast in my small world.

I can't speak for his velocity, but I think teams are ready for him this year. We saw as the season ended last year that teams laid off his cutter and he had no chance. He has to go back to pitching inside.

Bruce Levine must be smoking crack. The Sox just signed him to a great deal, he's one of the best left handed relief pitchers in the game, and we're gonna deal him when our bullpen is sorta itchy as it is. I could see them moving Cotts, but not Marte.

I'd like to see what Jones could do in our park as opposed to Turner Field. I'm sure he'd see some good pitches with Frank in front of or behind him. Magglio would have Chipper with him in the batting order, that would be mighty interesting.

Just to clear something up. I've seen a few folks say "Just pay Magglio, since the Jones contract is so close." It's 2 million dollars less for Jones, and the big thing with Jerry Reinsdorf is that it's 2 years less. If Magglio wanted a 3 year deal it would've been done already, signing players to long term deals is dangerous in his world.

I said this before, his first major league start gets thrown out since it was nerves. His second start was on 3 days rest, so how can you judeg him on that? Let's not sign him up for cooperstown, but I'm not afraid of having him start.
