QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) Pauly pulls it, because that pretty much is all he can do. Then AJ pulls it. Now I have a question, if Julian Taverez can start a game, why cant Bmac. Isn't he starting due to injuries? Or is that the point being made?

The Tigers are giving this race away but no takers.

QUOTE(loltrain @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) The problem with Detroit's offense is that due to the low OBP of most of our hitters, we rely solely on stringing hits together to score runs, now when you have a couple injuries and a couple guys slumping at the same time, suddenly you have a very, very hard time strining hits together... Fortunately our pitching has been insane all season, despite the predictions it would collapse. Still, if we don't get hitting better I would expect to finish in 2nd place. (I think Minnesota is about done or I'd say 3rd...) The 4 game set vs Minny will tell the story. -
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) Let's get Garland some runs. Don't get greedy now.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 07:12 PM) Bottom 4TH B:3 S:2 O:1 Manny Ramirez lines out, pitcher Jon Garland to first baseman Paul Konerko. Gameday does not make sense on that last out. It was a liner at Garland, that he knocked down. D-FENCE~!
-
Manny is playing. Lineups are in. Usual crew. Pods, Anderson, Dye all in today. No subs. NESN flashed the lineups so I missed the exact order.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Dye is out tonight. Ozzie said he'd get him a day off this series. So maybe we can get Pods-Mack-Gload...Oye.
-
Thank you, Jason.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) Rumors are that Manny, Varitek, and Nixon will be back tonight. That's just fantastic news!!! Maybe they'll be rusty?
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 03:23 AM) Yeah Boston have just been absolutely brutal lately trying to score runs. That said, if our guys come into this series with the mentality "Oh we'll sweep em", we'll lose this series. Even without that line of thinking, it could very well be bad times.

Post all your wacky thoughts and first guesses here. Tigers beat Seattle 6-2. Twins beat Tampa 2-1.

Lot of smart marks on the board.

Fake. Just someone trying to get themselves over.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) It's too bad the good posters don't come in here, as they're about the only people that do defend him. I'd love to hear what Wealz has to say about this game. I stay out, but I'm not a good poster. -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) This team kills me. They're really not going to lose by one run again, are they? Well, if Cotts comes in they can lose by 2 or 3. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) We'll either see a homer, a double play, or a pop up that he shrugs his shoulders after he hits it. plus a bat slam or throw -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) This place would be going NUTS if the Sox got shutout by the Royals. The board would be down, no doubt in my mind. Multiple banings as well. -
Well, not perfect, but they won. Boone where art thou?

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) It's kinda funny what happened to our main 3 relievers from the first 3/4 of last season Good job Gload! Yeah. Bad back, partial tear of the rotator cuff, and whatever the deal is with Cotts. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) Anyone else notice Pods not running hard through the base? Go back to the Frontier League Scott. Agree. Jesus. Gload, Owens, Sweeney, anyone but this friggin guy.

QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Can we officially start the funeral for this team? I'd like to start b****ing about the bears season and their lack of wide reciever depth... Nah. I like to read b****ing about the Bears though.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) It's funny, but outside of hitting homers, the Twins are so much better than us in every imaginable aspect. Indeed. So new LF, SS, Mgr, what else?
