  1. paulie paulie paulie you know he's coming through right here
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) This is gonna stick too. When Hawk gives you a nickname, it stays with you for your Baseball life. bobby needs to change his name to leroy brown, then we might have something with that nickname
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) But bad in a good way. :banghead :banghead :banghead kinda like me and you oops
  4. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) 11th row tix on the 40 yard line are $1100 a piece for OSU/Tex tomorrow. what a game that's going to be, non conference matchups like that don't come up often.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) I'm trying to find an Iowa-ISU ticket for my friend. Nothing less than $75! the tornado ate all the tickets
  6. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) OK, the guy in charge is telling me that the ticket still includes the patio stuff before the game. Beer before noon anyone? that's what college football is for silly
  7. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) it was a lame curtain call. the angels announcers on mlb didn't even notice.
  8. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) Our crowd sucks tonight; it's like they are expecting us to lose. That Paulie homer should have ignited the place as hot as Paulie has been. He deserved some major love after that HR. ....i'm pretty sure he got a curtain call
  9. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) His old goatee was haunted. The new one is good luck? exactly
  10. anyone else remember that paul shaved his goatee a few weeks ago and then grew it back? i'm believing that was the key
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) He follows the Buckeyes. anyone wanna take that? should be easy.
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) It's a double edged sword. Because of the HD, I'm forced to listen to Hawk and DJ. And during football season, I can't listen to Joniak/Thayer. it's not a double edged sword, you have HD, period,
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) ^^^^ Once you watch games in HD, the regular screen looks awful. :finger
  14. I hate WCIU but i also love mlb.tv that is all.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) Thats because Illinois fans are notorious for being completely=to cubs fans. Not knowledgable at all. blah blah blah who do you follow?
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) "A"s have a particular sound from chicaaaagoans. They're very flat... Also say "both" outloud a few times. Lots of people say "bolth" yeah, that's what i've figured. alot of our "o's" sound like long "a's"
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 04:38 PM) What the hell is a Chicago accent? I hear people say Chicago people have an accent, what is weird about the way people from around here talk? apparently we say pop and sox weird, according to my girlfriend. also brats, well that one was a given.
  18. i love it when the soxtalk superheroes come out
  19. it's almost like some people were drooling at the mouths to complain about this after waiting 3 months because of good attendance. Go tell atlanta they should be moved because they can't even sell out playoff games.
  20. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) All those towns have proven(well minus TB, FLA, & MIN) that if they win, they'll get really really nice crowds. Better than ours, that's for sure. It's a sad day when you're cheering that we broke 2 million. Best teams in baseball usually hit 3 million. Cubs do and I think they even have a smaller stadium than us. It's just something to consider for them. If White Sox fans in the City of Chicago can't afford the games, it's time to look elsewhere. I know that's not the popular opinion, but I rather watch my favorite team succeed(on the field and off) then watch a sea of blue. the sox are never going to be the cubs, get over it people. We're going to average right around 30k this season and that's fine with me. We're not one of the top tier baseball organizations in the league, why do people expect that? Yes, we're in the 3rd biggest city int he world, but we also split the city with another team that like it or not, is more popular. nitetrain never fails to make ridiculous statements, hello ignore button.
