What would you have done ...
Humans generally fall in line. This is much easier said than done. I think most would go along with it, despite being displeased by it. Has anybody here been a part of hazing, whether it be sports related or fraternity related? Did you go along with it, or did you quit the frat/team because of it?

I've said it for a while, but Jose doesn't have the clutch gene.

AJ Hinch basically poisoned the Mississippi River. Pass.

As much as I like the Rays, I really want to see Dodgers smash the Astros in the WS

Mazara and Right Field Thread
I'm a dope and completely missed the thread title. I edited to add this above. Doesn't paint the same confidence. It scares me committing to to what Springer would want given his age, but the guy can mash. A lefty would be preferred, but those are far and few between.

Mazara and Right Field Thread
Everything Stone has been saying points to Hinch honestly. I'd be surprised if it isn't him. Regarding RF, Stone also said this:

Tony La Russa
I don't think looking at it from a WAR standpoint is the way to go. For example, putting Rodon in against the Indians with the bases loaded. The timing of it is what is so egregious. Put Bummer in there, and he probably gets that third out and has enough juice to pitch the 8th inning, like he did. How much would that blown opportunity be reflected in WAR? Very little I'd imagine. It did however cost the White Sox the game, one they should have won. It may be only -0.05 WAR, but that is a loss completely on Renteria.

Giolito items at Cooperstown
Very cool. When I read the line in Giolito's section that read "The White Sox hurler accomplished that feat in 101 pitches...", I couldn't help but think of this.

Pitching Coach Candidates
What do you all think? Two that immediately come to mind are as follows: 1. Matt Zaleski - Charlotte Knights pitching coach. Embraces the analytics, gets great reviews within the organization, knows all our guys. He seems like an easy and solid choice for the position 2. Ethan Katz - Giolito's highschool pitching coach. He is credited with helping turn Giolito around and into a top pitcher in the league. Giolito went from literally the worst starting pitcher, to one of the best. He has to get a look. This is my pick, personally. Any candidates you have in mind?

Tony La Russa named Manager
Don't forget this one, folks. I like CWS, but he's going in my sig if he hire Hinch. This was in response to me suggesting we fire Ricky and hire Hinch.

Tony La Russa named Manager
Lots of people won't be happy with AJ Hinch, so it lines up with that narrative. I'm hoping we get Hinch.

Sports Media discussion
https://deadspin.com/breaking-adam-schefter-is-a-vacuous-turd-who-demonstra-1845361199 It's astonishing that Julie DiCaro has a job anymore. Her latest deadspin piece was more pathetic than usual. What an incompetent, miserable piece of crap she is. It's apparent that deadspin is simply employing people for shock value now. Sorry for even sharing this.

ALCS- Rays vs Astros
I don't care who it is. Shitty umpiring needs to go.
-
ALCS- Rays vs Astros
Rays up 5-2, Bottom 9th with 1 out. 2 men on with Altuve up to bat, 2-2 count. Altuve checks his swing and clearly doesn't go, would be easily verified by the 1st base umpire. The home plate umpire (Jeff Nelson) doesn't even ask the first base umpire, he just calls it a strike. I get missing strikes and balls, but how the hell do you not ask the 1st base umpire for help on a close check swing call? Just irresponsible. I'm sick of these umpires.

Cooper also out
To the analytic crowd, he was a complete dope. Even to the old school, use-your-gut guys, he must have been a dope. Both of Rodon's relief appearances were universally bashed. The old schooler's heads much have exploded at his bullpen use in Game 3.

Cooper also out
It never happened for whatever reason. I feel Coop may have bailed.

Hire AJ Hinch to replace Ricky?
Well well. There were other posts that deserved a quote, but these two were good. Especially Chicago White Sox. You're about to get signatured! I don't want to hear any more b****ing about my track record. Once again I'm ahead of the curve on a likely Sox move. This isn't the first time - won't be the last.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
Who else fits his description? Ned Yost and Bruce Bochy? Obviously not Yost, and I doubt it with Bochy. He was clearly alluding to Hinch and Cora.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
What about Dallas? He was a leader on the team and complicit with it. Did you not want him on the White Sox?
