  1. Are you implying Madrigal has a baby dick?
  2. Joe Sheehan gets it.
  3. If we're spending on Betts regardless, I'd rather not "go for it" this year by sending off Cease. I'm not convinced adding Betts to this team makes them a contender next year. Our success hinges on the development of our young, cheap pitching. The Sox can't afford to sign Betts and the pitching required to go for it all, if we trade Cease+
  4. I hate to root against a guy, but it would make it sting less if he flamed out
  5. Because we can have Mookie + some of our best prospects if we just wait. Just wondering, what type of prospect package do you expect it to take to nab Mookie?
  6. I think it's silly to waste good prospects when it isn't guaranteed we sign him. Mookie gains all leverage after the trade and can force the Sox into an overpay. I guess I don't really care if he strong arms the Sox into giving 50m more. But no reason to give up top prospects when we have an equal chance at getting him in free agency.
  7. It just isn't worth the risk. We aren't competing for a title next year most likely. We trade for him and he has the leverage. We gave up valuable prospects and don't want him as a just a rental. Mookie's agent knows this and asks for a 400m contract. Just wait until he is a free agent to bite. Sign a top pitcher this offseason, get the payroll to 120-130m. We'll be a competitive team that draws more fans. Attendance rises, revenue rises. The next off-season the White Sox drop the bomb on Mookie and get him for 36m~ AAV
  8. Abreu is going to be garbage if they unjuice the balls
  9. This deal is absolutely disastrous for the team. There is a high chance his last year is a complete sunken cost. This could be the difference between an ace and a low end starter. The difference between going to the world series and actually winning the damn thing. What a horrible, horrible deal.
  10. Great role model? Did he teach them the technique to fitting two cans of dip into your mouth at once?
  11. Ray Ray joins greg in lauding this as a fabulous move ?
  12. Puig keeps getting brought up, but I think that idea just sucks. He isn't that good. Not much else to it. Maybe Caulfield thinks "swagger" is vital to a championship team.
  13. 8. No. Reported for trying to bait me.
  14. Why you gotta backseat moderate this bro?
  15. Ah finally, the off-season comedic relief has arrived! I must say, not a bad start!

    Ban bet that it doesn't?
  19. The last good DH they had was Jim Thome, and let him go so they could replace him with Mark Kotsay ??
  20. Rodon and Sanchez for Betts... I made some similar types of trades back in the day on Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest. Mike Caruso for half the Cleveland Indians roster. Done deal!
  21. How does it hurt his value? Play him at 3rd when Rendon needs a break. Problem solved. Kris Bryant managed to play OF and 3rd base. I'm sure Moncada could as well.
  22. I'm not sure why people are arguing with Ray Ray here. Without a doubt it increases his value. Defensive versatility is obviously very valuable. Moncada became an above average 3rd baseman in 1 year. He wouldn't forget how to play. the guy is super athletic. If they moved him to RF, I can see them playing him at 3b on occasion, as needed.
  23. Don't read too much into a single tweet. The majority of quotes and tweets indicate they're going big.
  24. Exactly my thinking Lillian. I see no reason why they would talk a big game and leave themselves open to the massive criticism and ridicule that would follow if they strikeout. They are going to spend big this offseason. It's their chance to be the winners in the city.
