Agreed. I know a lot of that is just bad luck considering other teams have had better luck with aging hitters, but still. We're not talking even low to mid thirties here. This guy is will be 38. Unless he is juicing (which is possible), I don't like our odds. I don't want to sign him just because he is a lefty. Spend that 10m~ elsewhere.

Sign Rendon and move Moncada to RF. Our outfield defense would be absolutely filthy with him and Robert out there. Our infield defense would be damn good once we have Madrigal up as well. I honestly feel we could have the combination of a deadly offense and defense that the 2016 Cubs team had.

Baez plays every damn position in the IF if needed. Versatility certainly isn't a bad thing for a players value. Extending Yoan, as with every other player, will come down to $$$. Furthermore, I care about what puts us in the best position to win, not about extending Yoan 3 seasons from now.

What do others think of signing Rendon and moving Moncada to the OF? I get we don't want to keep shifting Moncada, but he could be elite in the OF. Our offense would be absolutely dangerous. Sign Rendon, Wheeler, fill in the gaps and call it an off-season.
