QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 10:00 PM) White Sox GM Rick Hahn declines comment about potential Jeff Samardzija deal, which is reportedly close to being done. https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/542166334595805185 Stop trying to get Hahn to tamper.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:58 PM) 9:53pm: Even if a Samardzija deal is close to being finalized, it doesn’t sound as if the A’s are planning to announce anything tonight, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle (via Twitter). Go to bed It's 8 o'clock out there. Come on, you're telling me this can't be done by midnight out there? Almost has to before Lester makes his decision tomorrow.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:50 PM) Anderson will be in it. If Semien is in the package like its reported to be. No chance I think that Anderson will be in it. If he is, then Reddick or bullpen piece better be coming back too.

With people talking about how he pitched in NL and at Oakland. Detroit, KC, and Minn are all huge parks to pitch in. Advantage there too.

Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 23s23 seconds ago love Samardzija for Sox. great combo w/ Sale. instant contender. #chisox Deal done?

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:38 PM) Kinda funny to see everyone on twitter talking about how great Sale and Samardzija would be as a 1-2 when there's no doubt in my mind Q is the actual 2nd best pitcher. That's good though. Seems like Quintana likes the underdog role. It's worked out for him so far.

QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:33 PM) @AdamSpankyEaton: How do you spell his name..? Samardzija...? Heard he's good. #ComeOnOver #SouthSide Gotta love Adam.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:30 PM) Who the f*** cares He does.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:28 PM) I just not a fan of Sharkmardzija nor his contract status. If he talks extension, I haven't heard about it. Sox fan. Loves Chicago. Wants to be closer to family.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:25 PM) Definitely looking like it. A few suprises this week and it ain't Sale to the Red Sox. Can you PM me what you are hearing? I'm so nervous.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:22 PM) I don't like it, but no worries. What do you think?

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:20 PM) Semien and Danish is my guess That's my guess. I'm completely fine with it pending an extension.

DO IT TONIGHT!!

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:01 PM) Seems like Tulo would be the guy if Thor's involved. Yeah or even Castro. Just staring the pot a bit.

Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 2m2 minutes ago Belief around baseball is that Noah Syndergaard is in play in trade talks for the #Mets. Hey Mets, you want Alexei?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) And I believe they have a chance to extend him. And I believe this trade is close. Agreed. He loves Chicago. And if he could, wants to be closer to family.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 08:48 PM) I just get the feeling Semien is going to make us regret trading him. I do think Semien is the better of the MI glut we have between him, Micah and Sanchez. But, by building that depth and players performing we can do that trade and try to compete again. As far as an extension goes with Samardzija, I know for a fact he loves Chicago and would love to continue playing here in this city.

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Couldn't we still sign a guy like Masterson? Shark will not take up much of payroll unless we sign him long term. Plus if Hahn does get to trade Danks to say PIT, that saves money for a guy like Masterson or a bullpen piece. Sale Quintana Samardzija Masterson Bassitt/Noesi

Gotta remember its only going on 7 o'clock out there. Things could happen late into the night here. Let's get Samardzija baby.

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 08:37 PM) Two thoughts: - I wonder if they got the DBacks to take EJax back in the deal - Is this going to lead to a possible Hamels trade with Wellington Castillo in the deal? Rosenthal just said ARI will receive pitching prospects. Im thinking Pierce Johnson and others.

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 08:34 PM) Ha, one of my least favorite players in the majors. Seems to have a poor attitude. And hasn't done anything since his brand new contract.

Cubs on the verge of acquiring Miguel Montero.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 08:20 PM) Samardzija to #WhiteSox for Marcus Semien, Hector Noesi and Josh Phegley makes sense to me https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/542141564257304577 I'd take that and run far away lol.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Dec 7, 2014 -> 08:57 PM) One of the reporters on MLB Network called the Sox his "sleeper team" for the meetings. Also brought up Scherzer again. Not saying I'd be happy with the years and money, but for the first 3-4 years, a Sale Scherzer Quintana would be incredible. Could start to make sense because I read a tweet that Lester will definitely get 7 years

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 09:14 AM) Cool - 670 internet streams. "It's the little moves". I like it, KW The little moves? Oh man, interesting.
