QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:28 PM) Why don't they just do like high schools which have the policy that you must slide into home plate and not try to take out the catcher or jar the ball loose unless you can clearly score standing up without a play? That's actually much easier lol and extremely sad that the MLB can't figure it out.

QUOTE (Son Goshin @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:24 PM) I honestly can't remember the last time I was this pissed off at a game, it's been years. Watching that play and the aftermath transpire live was difficult to witness. What a f***ing joke, that call, that rule, is turning the game into a farce. It absolutely needs to be rewritten in much greater detail, if not stricken from the books entirely. They would never get rid of it, because of the safety issue, but definitely needs to be rewritten or something because I cannot wait until it happens in the World Series this year and screws a team over.

At least Lindstrom had a great outing. Encouraging to see.

Is the blocking the plate rule in affect in the minors?

QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Aug 13, 2014 -> 05:16 PM) I'd love to DFA Blowasavio as much as anyone, but whoever we bring up will probably be just as bad. I'd rather give a kid a chance than him though. His ERA is almost 7 now....

As others have said, Belisario needs to be cut.

So is that an unearned run?

Completely agree Hawk. It's just not baseball.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 02:25 PM) And... Rodon, Dykstra, Danish, Brennan, Wendelken and soon Montas again is a sick rotation That's just insane depth. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 03:42 PM) Montas and Lopez will be back with the team shortly. I suspect either Rodon gets send up or they shut Danish down. My guess is Rodon goes up, and Danish has at least 3 more starts in him.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 12:55 PM) Trey promoted to WS, that team is gonna be ridiculous to follow for the rest of the season When Anderson gets back, who they going to send down because as of right now its C Navarez 1B Barnum 2B Peter SS Rondon 3B Trey LF Hawkins CF Engel RF Walker (May when he is healthy) That is a good line up.

So if the Tigers miss the playoffs, who's that on, Ausmus or DD? Because if Ventura had that talent that the Tigers have, and the Sox were in their position right now, we would be calling for RV's heads.

Nick Blount saw his first action last nigt with AZL. Going 2 innings with 2BB and 3Ks.
