  1. #3 prospect, #38 prospect, and Nationals 1st Rounder in 2016 And people are upset?!?!
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) Listen, I was dreaming about Robles. This sucks. But the white sox farm was equally bad for pitching as hitting. We need everything. Our pitchers are a lot better IMO
  3. Videos don't seem to be working for me. Just a black screen Edit: took off adblocker and is working now
  4. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:30 PM) I'm just saying if you're really committing to a rebuild then it makes sense to apply that same logic to guys like Avi. Same with Saladino, same with Sanchez. Yes Avi has failed but unless they have someone he's blocking (and they don't) then you just trot him out there and hope for the best. If they were contending (like last Winter's moves indicated) then it would be stupid (like it was last year with Avi) but they aren't, things change. There's no downside to letting Avi trot out there for 300 more PA if he's not blocking anybody. If we don't trade Melky or Eaton I would expect Avi to start
  5. I really don't know what to expect in a return for Quintana
  6. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:22 PM) Well, if we are going by that logic then they are probably going to run Avi out there again as well. I don't have a problem with it in what is FINALLY a rebuilding year. If they suck they suck and actually might help bring success by improving the draft pick. If they improve, f***ing great. Well no lol. Avi has had plenty of chances, Navarez has not
  7. Or we go with the future. Anderson, Moncada, Rodon, Collins, Kopech
  8. If we are doing this rebuilding thing I want Navarez to get most of the reps at Catcher to see if we might have something with him
  9. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 07:53 PM) Morosi on MLBN said Nats could be a fit for Eaton Hot take there
  10. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) There's this Zack Collins guy out there...we should really look into him. Sorry to break it to you but he probably won't stick at catcher.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 05:33 PM) Well he should be. Not by much though
  12. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 05:31 PM) Heard around the Winter Meetings: there are more teams with interest in Quintana than there were pursuing Sale. https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/806279598698856448 Not sure of the level of seriousness in regard to Quintana and the various teams https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/806279678445162498 Because they think he is cheaper
  13. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 03:03 PM) They have to take a break to reload on coffee and food. Don't they just have to press a few buttons to make trades happen?
  14. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) What's the initial take from people regarding the return? Fair, overwhelmed, underwhelmed? Just a tiny bit underwhelmed but not upset or mad
  15. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) I'm not worrying about pitching at all for the future. It's almost always there for us. Now we could have a rotation of: Rodon Fulmer Kopech Hansen Stephens Probably draft a college pitcher next year
  16. So our two best hitting prospects strikeout a lot but also have a good eye at the plate. Hopefully they can cut down on the strikeouts because those worry me A LOT
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:44 PM) LMAO Let's wait and see. Also, no one is a bigger hothead than Sale. At least Sale didn't get a 50 game ban and punched someone during spring training breaking his hand lol
  18. Love Moncada (not the K's), not sure if the others are enough. Kopech is a bigger hot head then Sale, Basbae is a strikeout king as well, and the other is a filler that might end up being a reliever
  19. QUOTE (ChicagoHeel @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:56 AM) Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 3m3 minutes ago The #Redsox and #Nats now in a dual battle for #WhiteSox ace Chris Sale with #Braves as dark horse Battle!!
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 09:35 PM) Bowden: The White Sox and Nationals are far down the road on a trade that will send Chris Sale to the Nationals in exchange for Lucas Giolito, Victor Robles and a low minor leaguer. Reynaldo Lopez and Koda Glover will not be in the proposed deal. The structure of the deal was first reported by Ken Rosenthal. I sure hope not
  21. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 08:25 PM) So...one of the best pitchers in the game on the best contract in the game for...2 pitching prospects? Am I missing something? That seems horrendous unless both of those prospects become 1/2 level instantly when they hit the majors. Robles is an OF prospect
