  1. Lol well good job Rodon
  2. Oh look Anderson with another multi hit game. 10 out of 19 games
  3. Can't lay off the change up
  4. One of Anderson's best ABs
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 09:50 PM) By "this type of lineup", I mean not wasting the DH spot on someone like Garcia or Coats and rather have Saladino play 3B, Frazier shift to 1B, and Abreu to DH, while keeping Anderson/Lawrie as the DP combo. I feel like Saladino's vastly offense plus his stellar defense surely helps the club in multiple ways, while eliminating DH at-bats (or, should I say, strikeouts) from Garcia and Coats and giving them to Abreu is obviously beneficial. Of course, a lot of this can change if Davidson is in fact called up, but for the time being, I'm a big fan of the Saladino/Anderson/Lawrie/Frazier infield with Abreu at DH. Somebody brought this idea up last week at some point, can't remember who. But we agreed we needed another INF on the roster in order to actually make it up since there would be no back up INF if someone got tossed or injured
  6. Jacob May with 3 SB's
  7. Anderson looks like a different hitter nearly every other AB
  8. If I am right, that is 50% of Anderson's games he has 2 or more hits
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 08:51 PM) If we had another outfielder (Jackson or trade) to replace Avi, Saladino at 3rd, Frazier at 1st and Abreu at DH would be workable. Obviously, Tyler didn't quite cut it last year at 3rd, but he seems much more comfortable/confident this year. Like he fits in more and feels like he belongs at this level, instead of trying to prove himself every time out. Of course, that arrangement would also block Morneau (eventually). As a way to get through the next week with Melky out, it's as good as anything, I suppose. We have 5 OFs on the roster with Melky being healthy.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) Cue the Saladino playing everyday crowd... Better option then Avi or not?
  11. We are going to get beat by the Twins. Probably shut out
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 08:50 PM) Anderson and Eaton over time are going to give you similar power numbers...that's not their strength. When Eaton had that home run binge in years past, it adversely affect his game and he started getting out of game and swinging for the fences. See Willie Mays Hayes scene in Major League. The dude leads the AL and probably majors with infield hits. I'm not quite sure what you are talking about lol Jackson was our CF and now Shuck.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) Engel has a 742 OPS in Birmingham this year, and it's trending up. He MIGHT be better than Austin Jackson. Will turn 25 this December. If anything, he profiles more like Adam Eaton-Lite. But, if you have Eaton and Engel in the same outfield, you absolutely have to get huge power numbers from RF/DH. Otherwise, you won't be able to contend. PS: Say whatever you want about Trayce Thompson, but at least he knows how to accept a walk. Yeah because our CF right now has tons of power
  14. Another multi hit game for Anderson
  15. Again, do we even look at scouting reports?
  16. Pathetic effort from the 2-3-4 hitters
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 27, 2016 -> 10:26 AM) Honestly beginning to wonder if we should call up Davidson and send Avi down. Would be smart to give us another guy who can play 3B/1B on the roster. We can start Saladino in the field more and start DHing Frazier, Abreu, and Lawrie sometimes then other games start Davidson at DH
  18. I am excited about Michalczewski as a prospect. He is up to .250 average in AA as a 21 year old. In 2/3 years we could have our next 3B, hopefully he continues to trend upwards
