Rodon is not ready to be a starting pitcher on a winning club. He needs a lot more work, IMO

game over...

I also don't know why Cooper didn't come out after walking Young

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) No clue why he is pitching from the stretch Me either. Stupid decisions

great. horrible start to this home stand

Next 2 games are going to be tough.

pitch from the wind up Rodon

Good job Eaton

So Ryan can magically hit .280 now?

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 07:33 PM) s***ty job by the offense there Yeah we didn't get a hit but we worked the count and his pitch count is at 24 already.

at least we made him throw 24 pitches

Wow, great slide by Eaton

Damn Eovaldi throws hard

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 07:18 PM) This is a brutal matchup for Rodon He is not very good out of the stretch. He needs to work on that big time

Damn it. This is going to be a long series

When someone gets on Rodon get so wild

Slate for Today: KC@TOR: Cueto v Hutchinson DET@BAL: Farmer v Chen TB@BOS: Ramirez v Rodriguez SEA@MIN: Walker v Milone NYY@CWS: Eovalid v Rodon

Soto!!!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) @ChiTribKane Chris Sale escaped media group asking for trade deadline comment but did say, "Why wouldn't we want to keep the team the same?" Yeah, I am wondering if this gives a confidence boost to the team thinking the front office thinks they can win with the team they have

Do you think this gives a boost of confidence to the 25 guys in the locker room?

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:21 PM) If Samardzija had a contract like Cespedes, I'd be pissed. Since he doesn't, the compensation draft pick is quite valuable. No complaints here, let's see how the next few weeks go. Agreed, we will find a good pitcher next year in the draft

I am cool with it. Didn't expect anything to begin with

Mets have a better offer. Glad we didn't give up something of that value to the Tigers

I think Mets will overpay.
