Dobnak has been roughed up 2 of his last 3 outings, giving up 11 runs combined. Sox faced him in the opening series and didn't do much until he was out of the game.

Dobnak is RH, so interesting to see Engel in there. Makes me think some of the critiques have filtered down from on high.

Let me stop you at "at Wrigley." Sox take care of business and they are the division winner. I don't pay attention to the Cubs. They are constantly thrown in my face so I push back against it where I can, but I prefer to pay them no mind.

ALDS starting 10/5 lets the Sox set up their rotation nicely even if they go 3 games in the WC round. No off days for LDS and LCS will be a test for managing rotation & bullpen.

I've never heard it called the Subway series for anywhere but NYC, because subway or elevated its all colloquially the Subway. And no one refers to anything but the actual subway as the subway in Chicago. Also, 'EL to Subway to EL to Subgrade In The Middle Of The Expressway' doesn't really have the same ring to it.

If he goes on a hot streak he still has a chance. He's still playing gold glove caliber defense and contributing on the bases. And he's still had a huge impact on a potential division winner. Hopefully that matters.

If they wanted to go nutty they'd put Vaughn in RF and call up Mercedez or Collins so both real catchers can play. Recalling Nicky Delmonico isn't exact balls out ??.

After said big win let's hope some of that sheen is off those Twins and the boys can get some of that monkey off their back. Last night proved they can beat a good team in a close game. No reason to be scared the rest of this series.

Eloy is the LF for the foreseeable future. Just have to hope he spends the offseason working on his reads and routes. RR probably keeps trotting out EE & Mazara and putting them in spots they don't belong. They probably have too much respect for Encarnacion's career to DFA or phantom IL him today, but at minimum Collins should be on the active roster so both regular catchers can play every day down the stretch. Mazara is a lost cause at this point, and Engel isn't better vs Righties so sadly he won't be dumped either. Just have to hope for a little more Engel and a little less suck from Mazara.
