  1. I've seen his cheap option bandied around as a reason to retain him, but i'd rather pay just about anyone else that money. No reason to chance a repeat of this season if he doesn't rebound.
  2. Which is a totally fair take. Stiever's next start is a big one. The options after him don't exactly inspire confidence.
  3. I would be more inclined to keep him in the rotation even on a short leash and use Rodon or ReyLo out of the pen. IMO Those two probably don't factor into the future rotation and need to adjust to new roles anyway.
  4. Wild Card best of 3 ends on 10/1. ALDS doesn't start until 10/5.
  5. There are multiple off days between the WC round and LDS. Sox will be able to line up their rotation for the ALDS. Only one off day between ALDS & ALCS hurts them if they can't close out in 3 or 4.
  6. If Stiever stays in the rotation and ReyLo gets a start in the Cincinnati and Cubs series it lines up for Gio & DK to open the Wild Card round on regular rest.
  7. 1 day off between LDS & LCS is rough. It will pay off to finish off the series early.
  8. Division winners and a single wild card works so well. I hope we return to that too.
  9. Houston finishing 2nd in a shitty division and being seeded higher that two teams with better records is kinda dumb. Nothing we can do about it now though. Sox have to beat who ever they draw.
  10. This would be perfect!
  11. They are fading fast. That 4 gamer looks much less daunting now.
  12. Getting Colome & Heuer days off could be real big the next 2 games.
  13. Sox are now .500 against Minnesota after looking bad in the first two series. Sox will split this series at worst. No reason to fear this Twins team any more! AL Central lead up to 3 games.
  14. Ballgame! Sox Win! Sox Win
  15. Right back to Foster. 2 down.
  16. Outstanding job by Fry. How often can we say that?!
