  1. I was surprised to not see a Shuck/Kahnle swap last night
  2. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 24, 2016 -> 12:40 PM) I'm going with Ishikawa being released (although they haven't made a corresponding move for Johnson being optioned yet). I expect Shuck or Garcia or maybe another reliever to be called up. Moves are done. Kahnle stayed, Johnson and Sanchez went down. 26 to 25.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 24, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) I think Johnson was guy #26. Called up only to pitch the second game of the DH. Sanchez went down too. I read that Kahnle was guy #26 and the Johnson/Sanchez move was just a regular move.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:43 PM) That game was...very underwhelming. Oh well. We can't really complain about a split. Just win with Sale and Q. 3/4 is fine. 3/4 is only fine?? You seem hard to please!
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) Avila looks so weak this year. No bat speed at all and cannot hit anything moving down. Very disappointing offensive production from the catchers this year. Didn't get the signing at the time. I understand his incremental defensive appeal, but I don't think it's worth his horrid offense
  6. I forgive Frazier there. 4-7 with a HR and BB on the day... plus great defense
  7. Eaton Jackson Frazier Cabrera Abreu Lawrie Garcia Navarro/Avila Saladino Yes? No? Taking advantage of hot streaks with Jackson/Saladino
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:52 PM) Lol. He may have a bad year, but he isn't done Agreed. Adam Eaton was hitting .229 at this point last year with horrible defense
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) So Putnam and Jennings are the first two in tonight? Who else can we throw? Can't even keep track of who's down there. Purke is down? Kahnle? I'd say Putnam/Kahnle/Purke/Jennings (tired)
  10. Michael Martinez's 2016 batting average = Joe Borchards' 2005 batting average *prior to this AB
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:30 PM) Who was the last White Sox 2B to hit 20 homers? Did Ray Durham ever do that? Seems he was usually around 12-18, maybe later on with the A's he started trying to hit more homers as his speed decreased. And when was the last time Avi Garcia hit 8th? Seems Ventura or Steverson are attempting to send some sort of message this week, not sure if it's registering or not. ANSWER: 2008, 2B Alexei Ramirez, 21.
  12. Iguchi never topped 18, did he? Rookie Alexei? Probably also 16-18...
  13. Close but not the best day for Eaton offensively, just by numbers
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:47 PM) Eaton Saladino Frazier Cabrera Abreu Lawrie Avila Garcia (DH) Jackson Love the Saladino hitting 2nd on his hot streak and the no Sands. Good lineup
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:47 PM) directv ftw
  16. Eaton Saladino Frazier Cabrera Abreu Lawrie Avila Garcia (DH) Jackson
  17. With Kahnle going down since he's the 26th man, are we really going to roll with a 3-man bench of Saladino/Sands/Avila with Johnson as an extra pitcher? Can he really be sent down tomorrow despite him not being the 26th DH guy?
  18. Following Game 1 of tonight’s straight doubleheader, the #WhiteSox optioned infielder Carlos Sanchez and recalled RHP Erik Johnson. -- @whitesox
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:25 PM) It needed some Scott Linebrink too With a touch of Will Ohman and Ronald Belisario
