His combo of speed and hit tool to go with his potential to draw walks and hit for power is worth hanging on to. Especially if he sticks in CF. Kid is still so young.

Bryce Bush was mentioned and nothing more. The Sox won't have to give up that kind of high upside talent to get Hill/Pederson.

If the discussions are about Hill and Pederson then I don't see how the Sox would need to give up Bush. Hill's age, contract and inability to stay healthy devalues Pederson enough to take Bush out of the talks.

Why would the Rockies trade Arenado after winning 91 games and making the playoffs last year? The Rockies, unlike Baltimore, have two third base prospects to fall back after the '19 if the Rockies can't extend Arenado. I think the Rockes keep Arenado and make another playoff run.

This really isn't about Jay and Avi. Jay was brought in because Engel can't hit and the Sox needed a left handed bat that could play center. Imho, Avi is gone because of Palka's ability to hit for power from the left side and stay off the DL. The comp should be between Avi and Palka which, I'll take Palka. An interesting bang for buck comp is Engel and Jay.
