  1. I'd like to keep Abreu for next season and go from there. After the '18 season we'll have a better idea of where Delmonico and Davidson will fit in. Plus, we'll have a better idea of what we have in Burger and Sheets. IMHO, Abreu's leadership is invaluable right now.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 12:23 AM) I'm so good at this. Call me reverse ron Any predictions for tonight's game? Lopez vs Jaye. Sox offense should score some runs.
  3. QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) whoever that was that predicted a 2-1 game today...good call! lol... I think that was bmags. Fulmer looking good. Base hit for Abreu leading off the sixth.
  4. Lol, I heard what you said after ball four Carson.
  5. Tied at 3 in the fourth. Kanny batting. Forgot to ad that Skoug hit a HR
  6. Fulmer looking good!
  7. Moncada HR. Sox up 1-0
  8. Greenville up 3-0
  9. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 06:32 PM) Yea he's got his three pitch mix working. Thing is Sanchez can fall apart at any time. I'd expect some better swings 2nd time through. I think we're in trouble. That change is looking better and better.
  10. Sanchez's change is pretty good tonight so far. Fulmer has his work cut out for him.
  11. Vargas vs Bauer at 6:00 Gotta like the Tribes chances of winning #23 tonight.
  12. Kanny @ Greenville 6:05CT Parke starts for Kanny. http://m.milb.com/t487
  13. I really hope Fulmer takes advantage of this opportunity. Hopefully he can build on his last start which was pretty good.
  14. QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 04:11 PM) Many posters here put them at the top of the list of Avi suitors. Weren't there rumors they were interested around and before the deadline too? Yeah, but those were deadline rumors before STL traded for O'Neill. The rumor cooled pretty quick after that trade. I think the Cards move a few outfielders this winter so they can add Bader and O'Neill's power to their 2018 lineup.
  15. QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 03:52 PM) Because many see STL as a fit for Avi. Give me Carson Kelly and a Hot N' Ready for Avi and I'd be stoked.. Mostly about the pizza though How? They already have too many outfielders plus young guys like Bader, O'Neill and Sierra.
  16. I think that's the second bases loaded walk in last three games.
  17. Well, if he's gonna give up HR's, at least they are solo shots.
  18. QUOTE (Scoots @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 02:10 PM) Wow...the Tigers don't even care anymore They look like they want this season to end yesterday.
  19. The camera work has been awful. I don't think the cameraman were ready for a day game, lol.
  20. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 01:45 PM) He's been a negative value player this year, I wonder if they try to move him in the winter or hold and hope he rebounds in the first half of 2018. That contract could become Pujols-esque though. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 01:47 PM) I don't think he goes anywhere. I think they hold onto him and hope he rebounds a bit. For some reason, my gut tells me he ends up in Boston eventually. Good point guys. Forgot about how far Miggy had fallen this year.
  21. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 01:38 PM) Hopefully they suck for a while but man was their competitive window open for a while. The Tigers have had a nice run but alot of us Sox fans have seen the writing on the wall for a while. With those contracts, s***ty farm and under performing, it was inevitable. Where do you think Miggy ends up? I have to assume they try to move him this winter.
  22. Is it too early to name the Tigers with the first over all pick in the 2019 draft?
  23. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 01:30 PM) And if they want him to catch, he would likely be in the minors for a few years. Outfield would be the logical move. I'm not advocating for a move just disagreeing with the catcher move. I hear ya and agree that catcher is just not a good idea for TA. He will be fine and has been much better over the past month or so.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 01:21 PM) As someone not watching the game...what does this mean? Throwing HR's. Radke was known for giving up the long ball. Shields gave up two last inning.
  25. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 01:16 PM) But you fail to understand that it's easier said than done to move someone to catcher who has likely never played the position. Yeah, I'm thinking that taking a young fast short stop and moving him to catcher where he's going to be squatting every game will do nothing but hurt his speed. If TA is to be moved from SS, which I don't agree with, it should be to the outfield where his speed would be better utilized. That said, IMHO, TA is right where he should be, at SS. Funny. As I was typing this post TA knocked in two with a single.
