Next week is going to be the calm before the storm since it’s Thanksgiving next week. Then it’ll start to ramp up that following week before the winter meetings.

Agree with previous post, no thanks to giant money for Arenado. He’s 29 and just ok on the road vs home splits. Love the guy but not interested. I’m all for Harper because he’s 26 not 29.

Abreu deserves to be on a winner. I really hope Hahn can have a really impactful off-season for the Sox. Landing Harper would be a dream come true.

Ah, you’re good man. I was just kind of stating my case. I’m not trying to hoard prospects but this team as it’s currently built is not ready to be trading prospects for MLB players.

Not that he isn’t worth Collins and Dunning, I wouldn’t make this move unless we sign Machado or Harper. Pitchers arms are volatile as we’ve learned with guys in the system. I think Dunning is going to be awesome. Id rather spend money on a pitcher than give up top prospects. I’ll have to sit on this and think because prospects flop most of the time anyways.

I think some of these players the Sox are in on are in case they sign Harper or Machado. I think they have a drastic plan A or B and that plan C is much different from those two. Plan C is probably more ‘pull the reins back’ in terms of what types of FAs they go for if they can land a big fish

This. Signing Bryce Harper is like signing a guy like LeBron. You don’t sign LeBron and stop. There’s a master plan and then you execute the next set of moves once Harper is in the fold
