He did, hopefully a sign of good things to come.

Nicky Lopez placed on waivers
Definitely, no takers.

8/29 vs Rangers 1:10
Exactly, 3 teams from the Central will be in the Playoffs because they get to play more games against the White Sox, hopefully someone will read the riot act to Reinsdork.

Why not, the replacements couldn’t be any worse.

I’m 79 and I probably have a better arm than Benintendi.

We can say that about so many of them.

8/29 vs Rangers 1:10
Same swings over and over again regardless of the count, besides being one of the worst teams of all time, they are also the dumbest. Lopez is a joke at lead off, never tries to put the ball in play, home run swings all the time and he’s not a homer hitter, hasn’t come close all year. Has anyone on this team ever tried choking up, what a novel idea that would be. Somehow Getz has to be held accountable, he put together this horrendous team and hopefully is fired at the end of the year.

Nick Nastrini coming back, Foster out
Here we go again, maybe one of these days one of these moves will actually work. I love that Getz is spending a lot of JRs retirement pension on flights between Charlotte and Chicago.

Your 31-101 White Sox against the Texas Rangers 7:10 CST Game Thread
Baldwin should be getting as many ABS as possible, instead we get Sosa who we know is a dead ass player.

Sosa is about as exciting as Wonder Bread.

Ranger announcers saying that a team like the Sox could turn things around fast like the horrible 2003 Tigers who made to the WS in 2006, what they didn’t mention is the Tigers weren’t owned by Jerry Reinsdork, they did mention that teams to get better fast need to spend money.

Baseball is dying, a history
Good point.

Baseball is dying, a history
I was thinking more in the line of individual teams, they play basically 1 game a week, maybe 2 if they are the Thursday game.

Baseball is dying, a history
I still think it is our Pastime because it’s played almost everyday for at least 6 months and with spring training and the post season it’s 8+ months long. Football is probably now more popular but a game that is only played once a week is not a pastime.

5-move day: Ramos and Peralta called up, Bush sent down, Senzel jettisoned and Jacob Amaya claimed. Ramos back down, Amaya up.
Please say it ain’t so.

How can Getz and Barfield both be so bad at finding infielders
Wintrust Field at Armour Park would have worked.

How can Getz and Barfield both be so bad at finding infielders
Why would Wintrust want the ballpark named Comiskey and not Wintrust. For me there was only one Comiskey Park and I wasn’t for the new park named Comiskey back when it opened in 1991, it should have been named White Sox Park.

8/26 - I just Googled it, and there's a game happening right now - Tigers (Buddy's Pizza) @ Sox (Vito & Nick's - change my mind)
I’m willing to bet that probably half of the AAA teams would have winning records against the White Sox.

That team could really hit but all the starters were hurt heading into the playoffs, our top 4 starters, Sirotka, Parque, Baldwin and Eldred were a combined 52-25, not bad.

Agree but easier said than done as long as JR controls the purse strings.

That too.

Same old same old, constant rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Getz is grasping at straws, I have no idea why. This might be the most important off-season in White Sox franchise history starting with who will be the new manager.

Sox Quote of the Day...8/25
Unfortunately, it’s the cold blooded truth.

Sox Quote of the Day...8/25
This is the most dysfunctional organization in Professional Sports and no fixes will be addressed until Reinsdorf is no longer the owner, the man is running the franchise like it’s still 1983.
