Koch solves his problem
the best thing about Koch is he CAN'T be any worse. Scratch that. He could be Jose Paniagua. I hope he bounces back. But I ain't counting on it.

Now It's Us
Hey, look at the bright side: We're due.
-
Reed (AFL)
Mitch Wylie is also pitching in the AFL. and if you believe the web site, Aaron Miles is slated to take Jeremy Reed's place he's not there yet, though.

Braves Bandwagon Transfer
In Ozzie Guillen I trust and Dontrelle and Pudge and Beckett and the rest of them.

not lookin good guys....
Braves are, without a doubt, biggest choke team in the history of pro sports. 12 division titles and one World Series. that's lame
-
not lookin good guys....
I fail to see how this atlanta team has such a great offense where is it?
-
not lookin good guys....
if this continues, instead of watching the World Series I think I'll watch my tapes of the Sox four wins over the You Know Whos from last june the walk off by Jose the single by D'Angelo and the others
-
cameron?
Cameron won't be with the Sox -- and I wouldn't want him. too many strikeouts too streaky and he'll want too much money rather see Rowand, Harris or Reed get their chance
-
not lookin good guys....
just have to hold on to the hope that one day it will be OUR turn Until then, GO MARLINS GO OZZIE GO BECKETT GO CABRERRA GO PIERRE GO CASTILLO GO FISH
-
not lookin good guys....
gonna have to ride it out -- and root like hell for Ozzie Guillen, Luis Castillo and any other future Sox because the Braves are doing their annual El Foldo. Otherwise, a frigid White Sox winter looms

Foulke cannot close big games
foulke is going to have trouble getting Big big money next season as a free agent if he doesn't step up and save game five tomorrow another el foldo and Foulkie can fuhgetaboutit. ain't that many teams looking to spend big on closers anyway
-
Foulke cannot close big games
take Marte over either one of them. THAT was exactly the Keith Foulke I remember from the 2000 playoffs from the first series in Seattle in 2002 from the home run Jason Giambi hit 800 feet in Comiskey. From the games he repeatedly blew in the Twinkiedome.

Bye Bye Bartolo?
always believed the Yankees steered him here and away from Boston for a relatively cheap price helped them stay ahead of Boston this year and it put Colon in position for the Yankees to scoop him up for next season that was a no brainer Now the question is, can we spend that $10 elsewhere and get another solid pitcher or two? that's KW's job

Outrighted
just glad to hear Stewart can -- and will -- come back he could help, at least in long relief
- manager

Backman hasn't even been called yet
Like Pena, he'll go to another organization and excel I believe Tony worked in the Sox system for a year
-
Backman hasn't even been called yet
Yep, I think politically he killed himself with those comments, if he indeed made them.

Jeremy Reed
Webster has tools, but he is miles away from Reed in terms of being a prospect. After he went to Texas, he hit .270 in about 75 at bats with minimal power. Also failed to draw a single walk with Texas Class A team. Not one. He can run and has hit. But there is no guarantee he'll make it to the big leagues, and if he does make it, he could be good or he could be Tom Goodwin.

Jeremy Reed
we gotta have hope. That's what carries us to March

More Sox Managerial names
I think Ozzie has potential. Played shortstop so he was always involved in the game. Be good in the PR aspects of the job. He's Latin-American -- and the Sox have a number of Latin players. And he's got an aggressive, upbeat personality, a pretty strong contrast with Manuel. With Nossek and Cooper and Walker around, I'm not worried about managing the game. My question would be his ability to get guys to A) play hard every night and B) get them to play the game the right way. Some people are touting him as a Tony Pena on training wheels.

ozzie has one important quality: He wouldn't be expensive
