It’s all about how much the owner is willing to spend.
If I was a fan of a team who’s owner didn’t mind paying the luxury tax every year, as a fan, why would I care?
His numbers are better than I thought. And he's only missed 2 games in the past 3 years. Having players that can stay on the field is nice.
Edit: he probably gets the least dollars/years out of the big 4 shortstop free agents.
Almost like they should have paid a $1M buyout for Kimbrel and offered Rodon a QO instead of picking up the option and dealing him for Pollock and paying him $18M total.
