I waited to get home to watch the game. Didn’t check my phone or internet or anything so I wouldn’t accidentally see the score. I just watched the first inning and I don’t remember ever seeing it so obvious they would lose by A LOT. So I checked the score and was surprised they only lost by 8.

Heuer has a nice game. 2 innings, no baserunners, 4 k’s, only needed 21 pitches. I really liked what what I saw from him this spring. I think he’s got a shot.

It was this offseason for me. It should have and very easily could have been a massive turning point for the rebuild, direction, narrative, everything to do with this team. Even beyond Machado and Harper. And they not only failed to do anything meaningful, they did it in the most embarrassing, fan murdering way possible, and then proceeded to make things worse by spewing a bunch of nonsense trying to save face and basically insulting the intelligence of what little fanbase remains in the process. It still boggles my mind when I look back at the sheer incompetence and lack of accountability in this entire organization. I realize Hahn isn’t the only one to blame, but he’s certainly one of the big ones. He’s the goddamn GM, not an intern. So, yeah... I’m done giving that dipshit any benefit of the doubt.

It’s specifically opening your lead shoulder early, the arm lags behind, and the result is almost always missing high and arm side. I can’t think of an example where the total opposite happens.

Lincoln Henzman pulled after 0.1ip. He was struggling a bit, but this seems injury related. Would have premature to pull him for struggling a little bit I would think.

Waited until I got home to watch the game. Very pleasantly surprised. Still some sloppy play in there, but nice to see the bats taking advantage of Kluber’s wildness (in and out of the zone). Good at bats. And Moncada just murdered two baseballs, which is so nice to see.

I noticed that Adolfo arm grade too and kind of shook my head puzzled. Lowering Burdi’s FB to a 50 or whatever it was (maybe 55, cant remember) from an 80 seems premature.

At least if baseball doesn’t work out, I can only assume Zack Collins can fall back on a nice computer programming career.

One start isn’t enough to claim he’s turned a corner, but it was a promising start. The new mechanics seemed to be working for him today, but I think the true test for him will be maintaining them consistently.
