That ball was right down the middle and called a ball? Worst called pitch I think I've seen this year.

White Sox draft picture getting clearer - reports on Blake Rutherford
QUOTE (SCCWS @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:03 PM) Just say NO to Collins. He is a Florida born kid who played little league, high school and college in Florida. He has never played a season in a cold climate. He will wilt his first April in Chicago. He is better off playing for a team south of the Mason Dixon. Draft a cold-weather player. Any Canadians in the draft?? Using this logic we should have never drafted Sale.

5/23 Game 1 - Indians @ Sox, 4:10, CSN
QUOTE (chw42 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:27 PM) Yeah, which is why I found it stupid that Robin was trying to save the backend of the bullpen for that game. The first game is much much more winnable. The second game has a chance to be a huge blowout for either side. Why assume a blowout? What if both pitchers get rocked?
-
WINNER WINNER WINNER
I understand the frustration with the bullpen usage but it was definitely due to the doubleheader. Robin was trying to get 2 out of Duke and not have to resort to using Jones and Robertson if possible. Pitchers didn't get it done.

QUOTE (juddling @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:06 PM) Screw that logic.....Albers has sucked balls his last 4 or 5 outings......should we give him the polite golf clap for another s***ty performance??? SMH I'm sure booing will help the players play better.

I understand not going to Jones right away because you don't want to use Jones if you don't have to, but should have used Albers before Duke in the 7th.

QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 23, 2016 -> 06:24 PM) The Sox offense is just so damn bad with a man on 3rd and less then 2 outs!!!! They showed the graphic yesterday, Sox were exactly at league average, gone down a bit since then though, 1-3 today.

QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 23, 2016 -> 06:10 PM) Because a normal team is able to get at least a run out of that situation. Doesn't justify it at all, and the Sox have been exactly league average in that situation.

5/23 Game 1 - Indians @ Sox, 4:10, CSN
He just needs to actually swing at strikes again. During his good stretch this year he swung at nearly 80% of strikes. During this slump he's back down to swinging at only 60% of strikes.

Ervin Santana. Should only cost a low level prospect, should be more than serviceable as a #4 pitcher, and his contract really isn't bad. Need two SP after the season anyway.
