QUOTE (raBBit @ May 19, 2016 -> 04:26 PM) James Shields hasn't missed a start in 9 years. He has been a good pitcher but he'd be a flyball pitcher leaving Petco for USFC and his indicators are terrible. I pay my respects, but I would not pay the ~20 AAV lasting until 2018. He also gave up a dinger to Colon...that alone would make me stay away

QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ May 19, 2016 -> 05:45 PM) What is his problem? It is just his cockiness and arrogance in how he states that the Cubs are undoubtedly the best team in baseball and Arrieta is the best pitcher in baseball, better than Sale. It is his whole aura of cockiness and arrogance that completely disturbs me and gets under my skin. Even if those things are true (and they can be argued against), just be a bit more modest and meek about it. It's fans like him that makes me really dislike that team and makes me hope they lose every game. Honestly, it does not have much to do with their players at all.

QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 19, 2016 -> 05:35 PM) Should've been a sweep, but none the less, I love the 2 out of 3 for the Crew! Watching SportsTalk Live right now. Man, I can't stand Dave Kaplan, what an unbelievable Homer. Now I know why I stopped watching the show.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) Nice series Brewers! Should've been a sweep, but none the less, I love the 2 out of 3 for the Crew!

QUOTE (fathom @ May 19, 2016 -> 11:26 AM) That is some Brewers lineup today Cy Hammel is gonna dominate that lineup. He is one of the best of all time.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2016 -> 11:42 PM) And they walk the pitcher with bases loaded. Torres always sucks against the Cubs What can you even really say, man. It is unfreaking believable. All the jackass had to do was throw strikes. There are so, so many garbage teams in the NL. As a good NL team, you always have the opportunity to right the ship because chances are you have some garbage team coming up in your schedule to get some W's.

Just saw the Cubs get out of a bases loaded no out jam in the bottom of the 12th in Milwaukee. If the Cubs win this game, in the morning be ready to hear about what a genius Maddon is instead of how the Brewers completely blew it. By the way, Joe Maddon drinks wine. #rentfree

QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:08 PM) I don't understand how a team that was once 13 games over .500 have somehow managed to look so poorly in the past 7 games... 4 in a row now. I can't believe we lost to Fister. Man oh man.
-
Nothing, and I mean nothing is clicking for this team right now. Not even the "luck" factor either, unfortunately.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 18, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) Not everyone can have a Betances, Miller, and Chapman monster. Albers (up until his collapse), Jones, and Robertson have been pretty solid. Yep, forgot about Mr. Jones.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2016 -> 09:16 PM) Jones Ah, forgot about him.
-
Our bullpen is filled with a bunch of guys who don't have much "stuff." No real fireballers, etc. Other than Robertson, I don't trust a darn guy in their bullpen right now.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 18, 2016 -> 08:36 PM) They've got to be shopping for a starter. We already have two holes in the rotation. Man, I hope you are right. I would think so as well.

You know you are playing s#$**y baseball when your announcers are talking about Cleveland losing. Pretty pathetic, really. Especially in mid May.
-
Dumpster diving signings are starting to catch up with the White Sox. My God this is pathetic, and it is the same thing year after year. Another team's trash always seems to be our treasure.

This Central division is going to be interesting this year. I personally think the the White Sox will be in it all throughout the year and have as good of a chance of winning it as any team. However, I think the winner(s) at the trading deadline will play a big role in who wins this division. It's between the White Sox, Royals, and Indians. Detroit's haydays are over. -

Other than that horrible loss in Texas last Tuesday, and the bullpen being atrocious lately...I keep on thinking about the 2nd and 3rd with no outs on Sunday tied at 5 and not scoring...along with bases loaded one out tonight and not scoring. Not at least getting ONE across in those situations has really cost us as well. And Abreu....where have you gone? The HR tonight was nice, but the slider, the slider...like a deer in the headlights. Here is to hoping we right this ship. -

The way we are losing these games is sickening. Looks as if things are starting to even out a bit. -

Disgusting how such an obvious interference cost us the game. Speechless. Let's get two! -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) He has such a huge hole in his swing and I'm not sure how Yeah, he completely missed a FB right down the middle. He was right on it, he just missed. He does that quite often. -

Putnam got lucky there. Can we get a couple of runs? -

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) Wtf had happened to this damn BP.. Terrible of late. Unfortunately, I just don't think it is that good. Duke and Putnam don't seem to have anything, really. Zak Duke had one good season. And Putnam, eh. -

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 17, 2016 -> 09:33 PM) Wonder how Robin will defend calling for a bunt after the pitcher had thrown 8 straight balls with a hot hitter up I could be wrong, but it even seemed to me that his bunt attempts were on pitches out of the strikezone.
