  1. Saw him this weekend. Stay as far away from him as you can. Gavin Sheets 2.0
  2. Don't think Smith is going to be there. Another thing I like about Yesavage is I think he is less injury prone. His delivery is simple. He is built thick and strong, has not missed any starts outside of last week when he had a punctured lung from dry needling apparently and he recovered just fine.
  3. I was at the game. About 15 scouts there. Difference in the 2 was Yesavage had a rough patch around the 4th but never seemed to get rattled and regained command. Burns was cocky early on, lost some control, got hit a bit, and didn't recover. Trey Yesavage 7.1 inn. 1 hit, 1 run, 4 walks, 6 Ks. Chase Burns 5 inn 5 hits, 4 runs, 4 walks, 7 Ks. Both would be great picks. Trey moved up today. Maybe top 10ish.
  4. I would love to get a connor norby from Baltimore. 8 hrs 27 rbis already this year. MLB ready. Plays 2b and OF
  5. Sac bunting is ancient baseball. Best way to kill an inning. Come on Pedro
  6. Sox sure know how to pick them catchers. Former Sox catchers Narvaez hitting about .200 the last 3 years. Seby at .185 this year. James Mccann hovering around .210 the last 3 years. Korea Lee needs to play 80% of the games. If he hits .240 he can be on the Mt Rushmore of Sox catchers this century.
  7. Just in. White Sox bring back Gordon beckham. Getz stated, " He really knows the team well, he brings a lot of maturity to the clubhouse, and he still has something left in the tank. Oh, and he only cost us $2,000 for the rest of the year. He will be the first player announcer "
  8. Yesavage another win tonight. 7 inning 5 hits, 1 run, no walks 11 Ks. Now for the season 75 innings 124 Ks against 21 walks. 39 hits 1.70 ERA.
  9. I wonder if a month ago Tommy Pham thought he would be the best player on the Major League team he signed with.
  10. Something happened. Benintendi seems to be trying to hit the ball with more power and launch angle. He might get to 10 HRs this year with the approach. That is 1.5 million per HR. Nice.
  11. Yesavage 6 1/3 12 KS, 1 hit. O runs tonight. 27ks last 13 innings
  12. I was at the ECU game against wichita state last Friday. Trey Yesavage struck out 15 in the first 6 innings. It was as dominating a performance as I had ever seen. Coach was dumb and pitched him in the 7th after 106 pitches already and he let up 2 runs. But those first 6 innings were just unbelieavable. He is flying up draft rankings. 1.92 ERA, 61 innings, 33 hits, 101Ks and .852 whip, 15ks per 9 innings. To put that into context Strasburg struck out 16 per 9 innings. K'd 101 of 236 batters faced
  13. Nobody looks to have mentioned trey yesavage from ECU. Had to be rising up draft boards. Was already a fringe first rounder preseason. I have seen him many times and he is pretty much unhittable. 7-1, 54 IP with 28 hits and 86Ks. 10 might be too high, but 2nd round would be a gift. A few years ago, I said we should draft gavin williams from ECU. We didn't, he flew up to the majors. We did take Montgomery that draft so we did OK.
  14. Except our defense which was what Getz tried to make so great is ranked 22nd in fielding percentage. So we got crappy hitters who can't field either this year. Yay White Sox.
  15. The Mrs. and I had been really debating whether YM's primary leads were the best of his career. Glad Pedro cleared that up for us.
  16. I think I would have rather pitched a position player than Shaw
  17. Mookie has 17 runs scored and the sox have 16 so far this year
  18. I took the under for $50 and then live bet royals when e were up 3-1. Won the last 3 betting royals
  19. Won't even cover the under I bet of 9 runs because the sox can't catch
  20. Even if we just had a semblance of a ML lineup offensively we would be 5-3. The pitching has been fairly impressive.
