The last time I had seats that Steve said to get to really see the velocity was one of the first appearances of Shingo. His lack of velocity had guys corkscrewing themselves into the dirt. That was very fun to watch.

I generally despise the Cubs, but some some reason I always liked Rick Reuschel. Didn't he also have a brother Paul who basically was on the team because Rick was? Also always liked Bill Buckner...felt very bad for him with that Red Sox between the legs bs.

I seem to remember a game when I was younger where Jerry Hairston broke up a no hitter late and some people at Sox park booed him.
