#5 Dangelo Jimenez
Yeah very good article. I do not read much on ChiSox.com but that was a pretty interesting article on Jimenez. I just wonder how much of a clubhouse jackass he is or if that's only stupid Padre players that hate him. I hope he is good in the clubhouse, because I cannot take anymore of bad team chemistry crap, IT JUS PISSES ME OFF!

JM on Borchard
Borchard is one hell of a player; I just think he should stay in Triple AAA for a little bit until El Caballo slumps and Borchard can get a full-time job!

Anyone Hear About B-Bonds
Hmmm...yes, I did notice that your post was in reply to Mark Prior being "the best pitcher in baseball in a few years". And my post was in reply to your somewhat biased claim that "we already have the best pitcher in baseball". I'm glad we got that straightened out. so are you saying that prior is better than any we have???? You gotta be f-ing kinding me!

When will rogers pick a team
Does anyone think we really need him? I have to agree with Dave Willis, ESPN Radio 1000 postgame guy, who thinks that we shouldn't need Rogers and that we should spend that money on someone more valuable during trade season. I have to agree with him. I agree with 247, :fyou Rogers

AP Press Release On Saturday's Game
"TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Gil Heredia faced major league hitters for the first time since the 2001 season Saturday, working two innings for the Chicago White Sox in a 7-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Danny Bautista drove in a pair of runs for Arizona, and Elmer Dessens gave up an unearned run in two innings. Tony Womack, Junior Spivey and Carlos Baerga also had RBIs. Heredia didn't have a great outing, allowing three hits and three runs _ two earned _ while walking two. But considering the limited work the 37-year-old right-hander has had recently, it wasn't bad. ``Being rusty is a big key, especially when you go out there and try to compete without having an intrasquad, just going on two bullpens and two batting practice sessions,'' he said. ``It's good to go compete. That's the fun thing,'' he said. ``As far as being satisfied, I'm happy that my arm feels great, and that's the biggest key.'' Heredia is 57-51 in his career with a 4.46 ERA in nine seasons with San Francisco, Montreal, Texas and Oakland. He was 15-11 with the A's in 2000, including an 11-2 record on the road, and beat the New York Yankees in the first game of the AL division series. But he struggled in 2001, going 7-8 and being demoted to the bullpen in August. He sat out last year, then played in the Mexican Winter League, where he went 5-2 with a 4.26 ERA. The White Sox signed him in January, and now he's competing for a spot in their starting rotation. ``Gil Heredia had a good (second) inning,'' manager Jerry Manuel said. ``We gave away a few outs in that (first) inning, and with the way he pitches, the ball's going to be in play. You've got to make those plays. As with any good team, you can't give a lot of extra outs. ``For a guy missing a year and coming back and still pitching the way he does, I thought that was pretty good.'' Already trailing 3-1, Heredia came in and gave up back-to-back walks. The Diamondbacks scored on an error, and Baerga and Spivey each had RBI singles to make it 6-1. But Heredia settled down in the next inning, allowing only one hit. ``My mental frame of mind right now is to go out there and pitch healthy and go accordingly,'' Heredia said. ``That's the only thing I have in mind. I haven't really thought about next start or next week or two weeks from now. Let it take care of itself.'' Notes:@ Diamondbacks CF David Dellucci left in the second inning after fouling a ball off his left ankle. Luis Terrero replaced him and went 2-for-3. ... White Sox CF Armando Rios was scratched with a stiff back.

Toni Smith's Views From A Sporting Event?
As many of you know a Division III women's college basketball player from Manhattanville College named Toni Smith in her last few games has looked the opposite way when the National Anthem is being played, because she disagrees with America going to war in the Middle East versus Iraq. Here is her explanation according to ESPN.com Sports Nation: For some time now, the inequalities that are embedded into the American system have bothered me. As they are becoming progressively worse and it is clear that the government's priorities are not bettering the quality of life for all of it's people, but rather on expanding it's own power, I can no longer, in good conscience, salute the flag. The war America will soon be entering in has reinforced my beliefs, while further angering me. I am aware that this is a time of fear for many Americans, and the media has done a fine job of maintaining that fear and riling up people's emotions. However, amidst this fear people have lost sight of the fact that Bush's plan for "maintaining our safety" will cause many innocent people, women and children, mothers and babies, to die overseas. Furthermore, going to war will likely provoke more violence in this country. It does not bother me that so many Americans oppose me. If anyone looked deeper than the headlines they would find that my arguments are true. Besides, whether or not people agree with me is irrelevant. It is my right as an American to stand for my beliefs the way others have done against me. Being patriotic cannot simply be an empty slogan. Patriotism can be shown in many ways, but those who choose to do so by saluting the flag should recognize that the American flag stands for individuality and freedom. Therefore, any true patriot must acknowledge and respect my right to be different. No I personally completely disagree with her stand on war and mostly backing down to the flag. She must obviously not understand what the American Flag represents to the USA. Personally, I think we should put her in Iraq to show here how it is in Iraq. And then bring her back to see how she really feels about America, and America's pursuit to change the Middle East and Iraq. Thoughts?
