For those pro tankers out there...Looking at the upcoming series with Detroit...if the Sox win today, they will only be 2 games behind Detroit in the standings. We are however throwing Shields, Fulmer, and I'm guessing Pelfrey or Holmberg Holmberg and then probably ReyLo. With the way the Sox are hitting and playing, and with Detroit struggling mightily, coupled with how the Sox have played them this year, the Sox may actually move into 4th place in the division come Sunday.

What a fricking outstanding season for Avi. The whole damn year. Pushing that average back to .330 now. Wasn't down to nearly .300 like a month or so ago? Just amazing.

This team may actually finish with a .500 record in April. Among the teams they face in April: 7 games against KC, 3 against Detroit, 3 against TB, and 3 against Oakland. All very beatable teams by this year's standards and certainly next year's (even if Oakland always beats us). I believe the Sox are actually better than KC and Detroit.

The team with 13 hits loses to the team with 4 hits. That's baseball i guess. All in all, this was a well played game. Just got screwed by the one hit in the first. Just too many walks, but by pitchers who don't have a future here. Little more concerned with our hitters not capitalizing.
