QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 04:50 PM) Four years. The last four years. Well, they had no expectations in 2013 or 2014. They did last year and this year with nothing to show for it...

I mean, with Turner on the mound and the Sox hitting the way they are, they basically gave this game away. 2 rolling breaking balls to Trout and Pujols wtf do you think is going to happen.

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 04:27 PM) Back in the day, when you needed to get a can of corn down from the top shelf at the local grocery store the owner/employee would knock the can down with a wooden pole and catch it in his apron as it fell. Interesting, good to know. Thanks!

Frazier looks at the 86 mph fastball right down the damn middle.

Serious question. I've been a Sox fan since '04 and I still don't know why Hawk says "can of corn" for easy flyballs. Anyone know why he says it/what it means?

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 04:19 PM) He just missed it. He never gets in power in his swings though. Shuck is actually decent. I don't mind him being our centerfielder. Would much rather have him in the lineup than Avi.

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) And Morneau. Nah, not yet. Yesterday he was up with the tying run at 3rd and struck out. He needs to prove himself. But when you have a struggling Frazier hitting behind you that's a little hard to do. I would hit Morneau in front of Frazier.

Hey Morneau got a hit that's nice.

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) Melky is good. He is the best hitter on this team. He is the only one I trust to be hitting in scoring situations. Him and maybe Eaton.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:53 PM) Turner is freaking terrible. What a stupid decision by a horrible front office 3 straight rockets and a walk. Keep getting behind hitters, that's what you're going to get.

That about sums up the White Sox in that one play right there.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) Wtf happened to Anderson over the break? His swing looks awful right now. Needs to be moved down in the order IMO Eventually I think he will be. I like Eaton first and Anderson second, personally, even if the lefty/righty thing is messed with a bit.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2016 -> 03:32 PM) It amaEs me how many just horrible pitches Sox hitters have swung at. It amazes me how they swing and miss and foul off extremely hittable pitches, such as an 83 mph fastball down the middle which I'm sure they will see quite a bit today.

The White Sox were just shutout for 2 games in a row, both against last place teams with mediocre pitching. Yet they win series against teams such as...Boston, Toronto, etc.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 16, 2016 -> 12:28 AM) For the most part he has been like gasoline added to the fire. Pretty much that way since that Texas series How does Albers go from being a lights out pitcher to...the "alternative" option out of the pen?
-
7/15/16 White Sox at Angels
The Sox have one of the best pitching staffs in the MLB with the way Gonzalez is pitching with the rest of the starters...it really sucks that the position players just screw them over all the time. Today it's offensively and defensively...usually not one to bring negativity but seriously. Play like winners.

QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 11:59 PM) Navarro is a f***ing piece of s***. Absolutely no one I'd like to see at the plate less in a big situation. Not even Tyler Flowers?
