  1. So nice to see some offense! And with 2 outs? Is this really the WhitE Sox? Someone stop playing with my emotions.
  2. We can speculate all we want. And it is all fun and good to fantasize about especially since this season is ova. But, IMO here is the REAL issue: depth. And it has shown to be THE issue this year. A lot of our starting position players and bullpen arms have been hurt, and the backups have proven that they are not even adequate replacement pieces. We can sign good players, and that would be awesome, but what happens when a few of those players are injured again? I think the organization needs to go beyond just the starting pieces and look at how to obtain more depth for this team.
  3. Typical White Sox game. Forget about the Shields performance. I want to know how many games the sox have had where they have 4-6 hits per game with 0-2 runs, or maybe they have 10-12 hits, but still have 0-2 runs. Give me a break. Wash, rinse, repeat. Why can't Abreu hit like this when it actually matters? Ya know, with risp actually getting a hit rather than striking out, popping out or rolling over a ground ball? This kind of baseball is just draining, and the sad thing is its so damn predictable.
  4. Leadoff hitter gets on, next 3 get out and don't move him one base. Story of this season.
  5. Lmfao. Getting paid a million dollars and can't even throw a strike.
  6. This game has all the elements of how this season has gone. Eaton hits a leadoff dinger-provides false hope. Starting pitching is excellent, offense does nothing.
  7. There is absolutely no pressure being put on this Minnesota team.
  8. QUOTE (Scoots @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) Dozier's gonna end it I stand corrected. Nice K there from Jones.
  9. Dozier's gonna end it
  10. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:03 PM) Pinch hitting for Morneau? with Avi? Not even surprised lol
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:57 PM) Pathetic. That is the defining word.
  12. Awesome play by Eaton. Him and Melky are the most consistently good position players on this team.
  13. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) I'd rather it be Sale that's traded than Q. Me too honestly. I like Quintana so much more, definitely more of a leader
  14. Quintana is easily my favorite player on this team. He goes in and busts his ass every day even though his team consistently lets him down. Mad respect. This offense is just pathetic. Watch some tape or something geeze.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 10:51 PM) Actually a nice at bat by Abreu Yeah I was surprised, he actually made contact.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 10:48 PM) Well, what do ya think? Two strikeouts in the ninth or three? First two guys whiff then Shuck maybe grounds out? Abreu K, Frazier popout, Shuck K
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) Pathetic offense in Wrigley: two runs in two games? Pretty embarrassing during the heat of the summer in a small ballpark. Our sluggers should be ashamed. I mean, the Cubs starters have had good games, and they have been getting the calls on the corners, but yeah, the offense has been like this I would say 85% of the year. It really is a shame, almost predictable.
  18. Prediction for the 9th-Abreu strike out on a high/inside fastball, Frazier pops it up, Shuck strikes out on a hard slider.
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) Guess we are seeing Chapman Yup
  20. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 10:13 PM) Ha, Baez trying to put the Cubs up 2, Anthony pulls the string. And he did
  21. If the Cubs are leading in the 9th or extras, the Sox will see Chapman. Let's not have that happen.
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 10:06 PM) Hawk clearly reading Soxtalk on his iPad between innings, issues a correction. Yeah he corrected himself too quick lol
